Bottom Line:
Its a shame one geezer had a wack bolt thigymaflip problem, mine is very well made indeed, the bolts hold up fine. This is a quite strong stem, it can handle the odd jump here and there toooo....which is nice! The finish is super dope as well, bring it on for the KORE! I've given mine a bit of a spanking when i jump on the steed...and why not! 8 Flamin steamin turds guys!

Strengths:
Awesome construction and design.
Weaknesses:
BOLTS ARE CRAP. Replace when you buy the stem. I rounded 2 with first installation. Buy new bolts before you install this stem
Bottom Line:
Awesome stem. Bought for $15 and should buy more to give as christmas presents.

I have heard good news about Kore but it was really disappointing when I opened my race bike box. While I was installing the stem, the top left handlebar clamping bolt could not go in any further after 66 PERCENT of the bolt was in. I had to tighten it as hard as I could but it's still half mm off aligned with the other bolt, so I'm quite nervous that it will crack some day.
Anyways, other than that, it's a very nice stem. I have even tried small drops and dirt jumping with these after that situation and it did't have a problem. This is the first time I've ever used Kore stuff, so I am pretty pleased with their stuff, other than the bolt problem thingemajig.
I would still recommend this stem to cross country riders. Probably not suitable for freeriding even if there wasn't the bolt problem.

Strengths:
Well finished
Weaknesses:
Alloy seems soft Bolts are small
Similar Products Used:
Bontrager Race, Control Tech, Titec Big Al
Bottom Line:
Three bolt bar clamp is hype; I've never had a problem with a properly designed two bolt clamp. The rear clamp bolts on this stem are small, compared to those of the Bontrager Race it replaced. The alloy seems to be softer than that of other stems, as well. Only time will tell if these concerns are valid.

I run this stem with RaceFace LowRiser bars. This combination provides all the strength I need for xc riding, and then some. Low price-Lots of strength-Nice appearance-What else do you need? Nice stem.
