Bottom Line:
I bought one of these at full retail of £115 (that's $200) in the UK about 4 or so years ago. I loved it and it loved being ridden hard on my Foes FXR. I had that bike stollen over a year ago now but found another silver one on eBay for about £30. I grabbed it. It's a 60mm and is perfect on my trail bike. I was surfing eBay the other day and Bikewagon in the States are selling them for around $25 so I bought a 40mm black one for my Yeti Dirt Jumper and a 75mm one for...er...don't know, but you can't get them int he shops anymore so I'm buying one everytime I see one for sale. They're awesome!!!!!!

I bought the first stem on eBay for $12,which is just insane, this is the best stem i've ever tried. I ride a lot,i'm one of those bicycle courier guys, who ride around Perth in up to 40 Deg.Celsius Heat, delivering stuff in a city which totally designed for cars... and the last thing i want is dodgy equipment, when i jump up and down curbs and manoeuvre through traffic...this thing doesn't flex or move at all.
There might be weight weenies, for whom the B52 is to heavy and i guess it comes down to what you use your bike for... but i don't think i'll ever use something else again.
I've just bought a second one for $20(!),a bit shorter to fit another frame...

The price is a little shocking though - $150 for a chunk of aluminum? Maybe there's something I don't know about machining, but I've seen very few other bike parts on the market that appear this simple but cost so much. I probably would never have paid that kind of dough for the stem as an aftermarket purchase, but it came with my used bike, and I'm very happy with it's performance.

Then I tried a KORE lite 3 stem which was ok, but not as good as this one. Since I am 6'2 I needed the one with a 7 degree rise. This stem comes in handy when I am flying down huge drop offs. This stem is also good for trials riding. I give this stem five chilies for its NO FLEX, BOMB PROOF preformance.

I guess I can give an honest reveiw on the B52 stem. I got one early for Christmas, my nicest gift by the way. I rode it all through December and its a remarkable piece of aluminum and I mean a chunk of aluminum! It has some very nice machining and its probably the last stem I will ever need. ITS bomproof!!! Nice stuff Kore!

The b52 stem I have is 60 milimeters long. It is the sturdiest stem I have come across, no flex here for sure. This stem is seriously machined out from the center, which leaves a nice smooth finish around the outside. I highly recommend this buy.

I use the B52 Stem on my Foes Weasel. It is a very durable stem and compliments my rig to no end at high speed. Its very stiff, no flex at all. Being 6.0 tall, I prefer the 7 deg rise at 75 mm long. Great stem, check it out.

I bought the B52 stem about six months ago after talking to a bike tech at my LBS. He was right about it. This is the last stem I will buy for this bike. It has allot of trick cnc machining and has four bolts to secure the handlebars. O'yeah, NO flex also! Check it out like I did and you will know what I am saying.

My friend and I both puchased the B-52 billet stem. He has the longer 75mm, I have the shorter 60mm. Both of ours are black. These stems are very well built. They have 4 bolts in front with 2 at the back. This stem as ZERO FLEX period! It also looks very cool on our bikes. Last week I took a bad digger and snapped my world force bars. But the stem came out of it with only a little scratch- it's bullit proof. check it out.

RIGHT ON!!!!!!!!!!! B-52 stem or bust! I have a B-52, bullit proof stem on my downhill rig. There is no way in the world you will see flex in this stem. It is secured by four bolts in the front and two in the rear. Kore has their knee saver design like their Lite Stem on the back end, NICE TOUCH. This stem is one chunk of aluminum hollowed out as much as possible from the inside not the outside. No need to clean the mud out of any pockets. Just smooth and stiff!
