Strength:

Rigid! Won't hurt your knees.

Weakness:

Bolts, bolts, bolts... they round off wayyy too easily. Neither one of my metric or inch allen keys (unbraco keys) fits the bolts very well.... now I can't tighten them anymore!! And they rust too...
Oh, and it's not exactly light....
And the stickers can be scraped off with a nail.

It's cheap, but heavy. Don't count on the bolts.

Strength:

Strong, solid clamping, light, looks slick.

Weakness:

Strong, cheap, light, looks good. What else can you ask for?
Anyone that actually pays over 50 bucks for a stem is a kook in my book (unless you have cash just burning a hole in your pocket).

Please disguard my other review on this stem. It's fine for about 2 weeks, but then your bar's start moving. When you try to re- tighten your bars so that they don't move anymore, THE GODDAMN THREADS STRIP OUT OF EACH HOLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you want a good downhill stem for an inexpensive price, get a GT piston BMX stem. I woulkd give it no chilies, but I guess I have to give it one.

***THE FRIGIN' STICKERS FALL OFF EASILY....SO HOW DO YOU REPRESENT YOUR BRAN' SPANKIN' NEW KORE?!?!?!?

I recomend this stem to any hard rider who punds on the front end. If you love your decals though I advise you to STAY AWAY. The Value is great...find a sale on one of these babies and grab it-Five Flamin' Hot Dogs. Overall... I Give It A Five For It's Strength And Durability, But.....I Gotta Knock Off A Point For The Decal Speal...Sorry Four Flamin'Hot Dogs

I've read all the reviews on this stem before purchasing. I too have to say that 99.9% of all stripping problems come from the person seting up the stem. I've placed about 10 lb's tourqe on each bolt and have had no problems so far. I doubt I will. The stem is stiff, Wide and takes a licking. The graphics are laser etched ad wont come off. Good Job Kore.

Weakness:

Only the weight. At about 280gr it's a bit on the beefy side. But who cares. You don't buy a stem like this for your ultralite now do ya

Many other stems are overpriced. If your looking to save grams loose some body weight.

This is a great stem.

It jus looks sic. Big and sturdy. Everything you could ask for in a stem. Oh yeah, removable front clamp always a plus

Weakness:

none so far.

After reading some of the problems (stripping) other riders were having I was almost sorry to have bought the stem. I decided to email Kore to get specifics on bolting procedures and this is what they said. It is true that some of our customers have had trouble with the Lite Stem 3D.
In most cases, we've found this to be user error as many riders attempt to tighten their bolts as if they were automobile parts.
Kore recommends a torque of eight foot pounds on all of our stem bolts. Remember to tighten the bolts evenly.
Yes, we do prefer that you tighten the two upper bolts prior to adding tension with the lower bolt. Don't make the top portion flush right away as manufacturers fluctuate in bar sizes. Leave a small gap at the top, tighten the lower bolt a bit and make final movements based on the overall tension.
Been on 3 rides now with no problems. Hope this helps and I hope that this turns out to be a great stem. 3 chilis for now, if the bars don't move and the bolts don'ta strip, would give it 4 easy.
