Impulse™ technology: release trigger moves upwards for an ergonomically superior motion, multiple access points allow for a variety of riding positions
Optimized design: few parts, competitive price, low maintenance
Maximized compatibility: integrates with many levers, fits many styles
Superior gear indication: large and easy to read from many angles, great looks
Detailed specifications: 8- and 9-speed options, indexing front shifters, 270g/pair
Weaknesses: absolute Worst shifter's ever made (at least that i've ridden). left shifter broke within 30 minutes of setting out on first ride. right shifter fell apart 30 miles out on the trail in Pisgah National Forest (rode out with only my front shifter).
Don't spend even $5 on these shifters. they really are absolutely they worst shifters if not of all time, then at least 2002.
Bottom Line:
Pure and absolute JUNK. I would give it a negative rating if I could.

Strengths: New 8 speed trigger shifters. Glad to see someone is makeing 8 speed components.
Weaknesses: Fragile construction. Bulky design.
Bottom Line:
I wanted to stay with 8 speed so I bought them hoping they were an alternative to Shimano, who no longer makes 8 speed shifters. They are large and dificult to adjust on your bar with your brake levers. The construction is fragile, lots of plastic. The front shifter has a very long throw, making shifting slow and fatiguing. I decided they wouldn't be durable enough and the shifting wouldn't be smooth. Fortunately Jenson exchange these for a set of XT 8sp shifters they just got in stock. I don't think Sram makes these anymore but I've seen them on E-bay. Don't buy them.
