Bottom Line:
Update to my previous review. I have used this SRAM 3.0 shifter for two weks now and the right side shifter has broken internally, destroying the indexing feature. Now the shifter goes straight to 7th gear on the right side, i have esentially a 3 speed bike for now. Dont buy these if they didnt come with your bike.

Bike Setup:
Mongoose Vadium, full suspension, stock, came with sram 3.0 rear derailer, shorty shifters & DNM DV-9 Burner rear spring

Nice shorty shifter that came with my bike. Shifts pretty well so far. With the bar ends on my bar i really need the shorties. These work fairly well.

Strengths:
shift accurately and hold adjustmend well
Weaknesses:
not very durable
Bike Setup:
giant cypress hybrid
Bottom Line:
These shifters were on the bike when purchased. First the right side broke internally. Had sram 5.0 rear deraileur which requires a sram shifter with and odd number. The 3.0 shifter was impossible to find had to order it and was back ordered then changed rear derailleur to shimano and got the sram gtx. i think that was a mistake as now a month later the right shifter has now broke internally. I will now switch to a rapidfire shifter in hopes of getting some durability.. These shifters are slightly more than a year old and both in the trash heap. They have not been abused and used on a bike i comute to work and ride on weekends.
