Strengths: cheap? wouldn't know, got with the bike
Weaknesses: apart from the rear one braking @1500km, and the rear one braking at 2800km, they were fine. at the end they were a little loose.
Bottom Line:
as far as my opinion - if You want new shifters - do not take this model. lowest class, lowest quality. it a shifter brakes without cause (I've used and cared about it), then just leave 'em. 5.0 works for twice that long, without being loose. being more precise. and works, and works, and works. they were 10% more expensive, then 3.0.
Similar Products Used: shimano rapidfire not worth buying breaks eventually under rough riding
Bike Setup: Saracen xile 2002 frame with fsa v drive crank and dmr chain ring also cheap zoom suspension which I was going to get rid of but is amazingly good
