Strengths:    Solid, crisp, quick, cost effective (came with bike) and the 2-way release is nice.

Weaknesses:    Nil.

Bottom Line:

I could not be happier with these shifters. After I got them properly tuned with the rest of the SLX drivetrain that came stock with the bike I have no complaints. It works. The 2-way release for the up-shift is nice; sometimes my hands are in a certain position that is comfortable and I can still shift up without having to re-position.

Strengths:    I am absolutely satisfied. Crisp and fast shifts like XT. Price!

Weaknesses:    None.

Bottom Line:

SLX Dyna-Sys is a lovely surprise (crankset, derailleur, shifter). It´s not a disadvantage to use it instead of this expensive high end stuff, because it works so good.
