Strengths:    Inboard of brake lever mounting, short throw, cool gold bits.

Weaknesses:    None so far

Bottom Line:
These shifters rock the cock! You can rip through 7-8 gears in throw of the thumb, and the shifting is really tight and positive. Paired with the XT drive train and derailuers, the shifting is amazing.

My old bike set-up was all XT, but with the Deore shifters, and the shifting was crap! These are amazing and weigh less than the XT shifters (advertised weight)

Strengths:    Typical Shimano shifting (which I like)

Weaknesses:    None so far

Bottom Line:
Can't believe I'm the first person reviewing this however...shifts like a typical XT shifter but is designed to be used before the right brake lever. In other words closest to the grip. Anyway bottom line, I like it!
