Strengths: InexpensiveWeaknesses: Lacks durability, lots of play when shifting, not smooth, they feel spongy.Bottom Line: I don't recommend this product if your serious about riding. Good for the occasional use but if you really play to ride the trail fast and hard not a good choice.

Strengths: Looks cool... mine is the gold one...Weaknesses: None...Bottom Line: My first rear D was an Alivio... it requires routinary adjustment due to miss shifts. Perhaps it is dur to the design since the Alivio was created for 8 speed only... had changed my read D with a XT (rapid rise) and now the performance of my bike is great. No more miss shifts and the adjustment lessens. Way to go Shimano...
To summarize what I wrote... "I love it..."
