Favorite Trail:Spragbrook park
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $50.00
Purchased At:Came with biker
Strengths:Inexpensive
Weaknesses:Lacks durability, lots of play when shifting, not smooth, they feel spongy.
Bike Setup:Full suspension
Bottom Line:I don't recommend this product if your serious about riding. Good for the occasional use but if you really play to ride the trail fast and hard not a good choice.

Submitted by Lloyd a Weekend Warrior from Cebu, The Philippines
Date Reviewed: November 16, 2004
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $41.00
Strengths:Looks cool... mine is the gold one...
Weaknesses:None...
Similar Products Used:Shimano Alivio
Bike Setup:Mozo R120 fork, Mosso slalon-M1 frame, Shimano Deore LX FD, Shimano Deore XT RD, Shimano Deore LX shifter, Avid Speed Dial 7 lever, Ameoba Borla control set and stem, Mavic DeeMax wheels, Maxxis Kraken tires, Shimano Deore XT hub, Avid Ball Bearing 7 disc brake (203mm rotor), Shimano Deore Hollowtech crankset, Shimano pedal PD515, Amoeba seat post (carbon fiber), Amoeba saddle
Bottom Line:My first rear D was an Alivio... it requires routinary adjustment due to miss shifts. Perhaps it is dur to the design since the Alivio was created for 8 speed only... had changed my read D with a XT (rapid rise) and now the performance of my bike is great. No more miss shifts and the adjustment lessens. Way to go Shimano...

To summarize what I wrote... "I love it..."
