Submitted by Steviebee a Cross Country Rider from London, England
Date Reviewed: September 12, 2003
Favorite Trail:any swoopy singletrack in any forest
Duration Product Used:2 Years
Price Paid: $100.00
Purchased At:Cycle Surgery, London
Strengths:Nice, light, good looking post with red anodised cradle. Good build quality, strong & no cracks or scratches after quite a hammering...
Weaknesses:Adjustment bolts get harder to adjust - bit fiddly sometimes -gotta keep the knurled(?) one clean or you can't turn it.
Similar Products Used:Ritchey, Thomson, Syncros etc - not carbon tho...
Bike Setup:Powder Blue/Orange M2 Stumpie, XT/LX, Avid levers (sweet!) Prodigy, Crossmax XL's, Michelins, Easton SL bars, Egg Beaters...
Bottom Line:Yup...good post, even tho I'd never heard of em, and still haven't! Apart from the seatpost, I don't have a clue what else they do. Thanks to the previous reviewer: at least now I know they're Italian!

Submitted by Luca a Cross Country Rider from Brussels - Belgium
Date Reviewed: October 12, 2000
Duration Product Used:Tested or demo'ed only
Price Paid: $100.00
Purchased At:Il Biciaio - Merate, Italy
Strengths:craftmanship, light, comfy, not flexy
Weaknesses:cost
Similar Products Used:no-name Aluminium; Thompson (both on Full suspended bikes, therefore the comparison is very difficult to make, apart from general quality of the products.
Bike Setup:DBR Axis TT PRO Ti; Crossmax, Z2 X-Fly; Maggies H-33; Easton EA 70 handlebar; Sram 9.0sl shifters and rear der., XT front der., RaceFace cranks, Action Tech ti BB; Selle Italia Flite with Ti rails
Bottom Line:Only 45 kms on it. I had to make sure to clean VERY WELL the inner walls of the seat tube before installing the seatpost. It did not move, did not squeak. Just plain worked (as it was expected to do). I found it very, very comfortable but not flexy (after reading reviews on other carbon posts, this was my first worry). It might not be the lightest of the pack (200g for a 27.00 diam. and 350 mm length), but the craftmanship is really high quality. THe clamp is CNC'd Ergal, with two ti screws, one to tighen the saddle, and a second one to modify the angle. Very neat! (and better-looking than the equivalent Easton).

Too early to say how long it will last, but definitely a very good first impression from this high quality Italian product. I am gonna give 5 chilies now, and will review again in a few months, when I will have some serious mileage on it.
