This thing is a knock-off of the Campagnolo Record Carbon post (which is a great post). Weyless used a much smaller bolt to attach to the seat than Campy did, thus rendered the unit worthless. I had to get off my bike every 3-5 miles and tighten down my Selle Italia Flite saddle. It drove me crazy. After a few months of this I complained to Supergo and got my money back. Single bolt seat clamp works really well and has a neat finish that looks like oil in a parking lot, with the rainbow type thing going on. | | Weaknesses: | A little short for me, maybe because of frame geometry or frame size in reference to my body (I am 6'3"). The bolt that is used in the seat clamp is strange, the allen wrench walls slope inward as you go deeper into the bolt, making me think I had the wrong wrench when I first went at it. Just make sure you push that thing all the way in so you don't strip anything and you are golden. | | Similar Products Used: | stock seatpost on c'dale f600 | | Bike Setup: | f600 and XT and yat | | Bottom Line: | probably better suited for road, but since I got this thing as a gift and can't return it, I am going to give it a rip. It is a might bit too short but it'll probably be good to have the seat a little farther away from the jewels anyway. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE POST AS FAR IN AS THE INSERTION LINE.
