Date Reviewed: June 30, 2007
Duration Product Used:6 months
Strengths:Awesome looks, comfy, durable, the best adjustment system out there.
Weaknesses:None so far.
Similar Products Used:Cheap aluminum seatposts,Litespeed aluminum,Thudbuster LT, Raceface Dues and Evolve,Flyte titanium.
Bike Setup:Niner aluminum EMD9 29er hardtail.
Bottom Line:This seatpost has been perfect so far for this heavy rider. Much more comfortable for me than aluminum. Definately takes the edge off trail chatter. I prefer it to the mushy feel and the loss of power of the Thudbuster. Make sure to round off the inside lip of the top of the seattube (slightly) with a file before use - carbon doesn't like sharp angles where it flexes at the top of the frame.

Date Reviewed: February 27, 2007
Favorite Trail:24 hour in the old pueblo
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Purchased At:race face
Strengths:Light weight but durable
Weaknesses:none, ok maybe could be slightly lighter
Similar Products Used:thomson
Bike Setup:Sram XO, avid juicy carbon, chris king hubs, rock sox reba [bike is Jericho Payback
Bottom Line:great seat post, SOOO much more comfy than Thomson. Good lordy my ass thanks Race face carbon post. [bike is hard tail]. Night and day difference. In 1 month got over 100 miles of single track on it. It slipped once but just needed to tighten more. RF customer service great.

Date Reviewed: October 12, 2006
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $85.00
Purchased At:Mighty Riders!
Bottom Line:This is a solid product from Raceface. The unique clamp is easy to adjust and I had no problems with slippage. The post is reasonably light but not significantly lighter than high quality aluminum posts from Easton or Thomson. Finally, this post also has A LOT of offset - depending on your bike set-up, this may be a problem.

Submitted by Stefano Fabrizi a Cross Country Rider from Milano, Italy
Date Reviewed: August 11, 2006
Favorite Trail:Greece off road in Peloponneso
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $80.00
Purchased At:Bike Planet Italy
Strengths:Great product of fine design, innovative clamp adjustment, easy tunable.Strong and stable platform.
Weaknesses:The top end model should be sold with Ti and aluminum bolts, instead of steel ones...(shame!)
Similar Products Used:Yeti,FRM,Thomson
Bike Setup:FRM 10 HP with FRM components. Eggbeater pedals, Little Albert Schwalbe tires, Fisik Aliante saddle, Sram drivetrain
Bottom Line:This product will have a long long life. I wish the company could upgrade Next SL with a lightweight kit for weight conscious addicted (and who weight light too...) like me!

Submitted by Gregg Soster a Cross Country Rider from Columbus, OH 43021
Date Reviewed: May 1, 2006
Favorite Trail:dry ones
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $100.00
Purchased At:LBS
Strengths:The best saddle clamp adjustment I've ever seen, light as any Easton but less finicky. Nice measuring lines for remeoving excess post length.
Weaknesses:none
Similar Products Used:Easton, American Classic, OEMs,
Bike Setup:Rocky Mountain Element 70
Bottom Line:Great post, the seat clamp is a two bolt affair this is truly unique, first adjustment hold the fore 7 aft, second clamps controls the tilt. Others posts always require you similtaneously hold postions while tighting. Also has nice degree marks and post height marks. Oh and it holds the saddle perfectly still of course.
