Favorite Trail:Glen Park's many
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Purchased At:Performance
Strengths:strengths?
Weaknesses:the single bolt kept getting loose, it had been replaced twice. the top clamp piece actually SNAPPED mid-ride at about 25 mph DOWNHILL over some pretty hairy terrain. Ever lose your seat and have to hold it between your legs while riding that fast over rocks 18" from a cliff? Don't bother.
Similar Products Used:none yet...
Bike Setup:Giant NRS 3
Bottom Line:If you have a bike with this post on it, get rid of it. Don't think that it might not happen to you. Had this bolt snapped 30 yards before it did, i probably would be typing this review in a full body cast from the local hospital. Not only am i pissed off that this thing broke in the first place, but i can't just go to the titec site and order a clamp...i have to buy a whole new seat post. Shyeah, right. They won't even answer emails!
I'm driving 20 minutes south and checking out the showroom at the Easton factory.
STAY AWAY FROM THESE CLOWNS!!!

Favorite Trail:single track
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Strengths:Light weight, secure seat mount
Weaknesses:Lack of strength
Similar Products Used:X-Wing
Bike Setup:Giant NRS2
Bottom Line:At best a waste of money, at worst a dangerous seat post. It broke while riding uphill on unremarkable terrain. I weigh only 170# and this type of failure is inexcusable. The XC Pro was the replacement seat post for the original Titec post that came with my bike (the original was the x-wing and it broke also!!). I'm surprised Titec is still in business.

Duration Product Used:6 months
Purchased At:Chainreactioncycles
Strengths:Looks great, strength, very low weight, stiff, bolt
Weaknesses:none
Similar Products Used:easton ea50,specialized alloy,
Bike Setup:spec.hardrock,xt/xtr,raceface evolve crankset and bar,xt/sun xc-1 wheels,conti vapor pro,hayes hfx-mag,fizik
Bottom Line:I got this seatpost cause it was very cheap, only 250 gr at 30.9mm/400mm, and it works great with the fizik gobi. Even on fast singletracks it works very well. It's stiff and I love it. Buy it now!
