Bottom Line:
My post split after two years use on a "occasional bike". Split at top of tube where clamp assembly is inserted. The post had not been abused (Would surely have failed elsewhere if it had been). Not happy bunny - First&Last Titec product for me.

Strengths:
Cheap, Strong, Great clamp
Weaknesses:
A bit weighty
Similar Products Used:

Bike Setup:
Does it matter?
Bottom Line:
Put it on and forget about it. A really good no nonsense seat post that clamps the rails better than most. Traditional one bolt designs by nature allows the top half of the clamp to pivot on the bolt resulting in some seat movement (most of the time you won't notice it). The easiest way to fix the problem is with a two bolt pattern, with the bolts at either end. On the Titec seatpost the bolts are massive 5cm (2") apart on the top clamp, even further apart on the bottom clamp.
The fact that there is no marketing behind this post (what's it's name?) confirms that this is the no nonsense seatpost from a very large manufacturer.

Strengths:
Nice looking post, not super light but neither am I.....clean design.
Weaknesses:
Not a super light post, and since I have yet to ride the bike I have nothing bad to say. It was cheap and pretty and looks cool so time will tell. I will get back to you.

Cheap Kalloy found laying arounf house.
Bike Setup:
I have a Cannandale old school pre-CAD but basically a CAD 2. Frame is hung with everything I can find that works and is cheap....Cook cranks, XT wheels, Grip shift basic stuff. Frame is decent weight and strong sonce I am a fat cow...so all in all OK
Bottom Line:
For the $19.00 paid and it's nice looks I like it.
