Strengths: Clamp design, light, shock absorption
Weaknesses: None so far, although the markings have worn off after a few hundred times raising and lowering into the seat tube
Bottom Line:
It really takes the shock off the hits compared to the Thomson I had. Not available at reatil any more, although I understand the "new" SYNCROS is out there now.

Strengths: light, seat clamped well
Weaknesses: after maybe 150 miles the top of the post came loose. it spins around.
Bottom Line:
I am glad that I didn't pay retail(except that I don't have a receipt). I got it new but the top of the seatpost quickly came loose from the seatpost tube. I'm only 180 and it didn't get crashed. Maybe I just got a defective post. For the retail price of these things I hope this doesn't happen often.

Strengths: Looks, Weight, Adjustment, Syncros
Weaknesses: Not at this time, the post did slip but only because I greased the frame when I wasn't suppose to.
Bottom Line:
The post is great, it is light and does not flex like the titanium posts did. It still absorbs shock as well if not better. Syncro stuff is great, I have alway loved them, never had any of the problems that I have been reading from others. Bottom Line: the post does what it is suppose to do, and in my opinion it does it better than many others out there. Light, good looking, strong, and shock absorbing ....... Can't beat It!
