Strengths: It is a seatpost.
Weaknesses: Clamp system is designed defective. - The top curve of the seatpost Al hose is too round in regard to the piece that fits in. Therefore all RooX s4 seatposts are bound to break from top to bottom after some time.
I'm using the S4 for about 8 years, and there is no problem with it. It survived some crashes too, but still unbend, unscratched. Strong, durable, good looking post. Definitely one of the best seat posts on the market. Just go and buy it.
Got a great deal on the seatpost but am pi**ed because I've just bought a WTB Power DH saddle and the 8mm rails will not fit the cradle on the post and Roox have not replied to 3 emails asking if they supply an aftermarket adapter. For that reason alone I do not rate Roox (the company) - haven't tried the post but it looks the dog's bollocks.

Strengths: - the lenght - nice black finish, that's really durable - 5 year warranty
Weaknesses: - none spotted so far
Bottom Line:
After I had to change my frame I faced the problem I had not a seatpost. Another issue was my height and proportions (190 cm, 67kg and leg lenght is about 100cm). Frame size was 19, so I needed something extra-long, as I don't like hitting my face with my knees. I considered various options, but finally I decided to go for [RooX] because of the opinions of others and warranty. I do not regret any penny spent, as this is simply the best money can buy. I have it at the max. up and it works just perfectly. If you have an opportunity to buy one run to the shop before others will buy it.

Strengths: Durable, simple, strong
Weaknesses: heavy, to long
Bottom Line:
Very nice seatpost, good keeping the sadle in place. For people who care about strengh and don't mind the weight. For me it's to long. I used it for about 5 years, and I never had a problem with it. Great quality and good material, the Al7075-T6.
Weaknesses: broke the top clamp plate after 3 years hard abuse
Bottom Line:
Excelent build quality, if its too long, cut it off ( you dont hear that often!). Though top clamp plate broke, good support from ISON Distribution, spare clamps are available
Weaknesses: After braking my first Roox at the saddle-clamp i trusted in the (warranted) second one because of the "unique double wall design". Last weekend this new seatpost cracked away at the frame clamp under my bottom while going uphill. I cut my leg on the sharp edge of the rest of the seatpost so deep, that i had to go to the hospital. Sure, i´m 1,96 m tall and near 100 kg, but who should use a seatpost that is 43 cm long???? I bet no rider with 50 kg and 1,55 m will need to use this product!!

Strengths: - the look - the name RooX - lenght
Weaknesses: - durabillity of the paint (or whatever the black is) - the adjustment range - weight
Bottom Line:
I hate this post. I tried to get it working on a dirtbike and the small range of adjustment drived me carzy. the post needed abut one houre of extra work and some tools (you might not have) to get the right angel of the seadle. after braking this frame i needed a new post with an other diameter and so i bouht a kalloy. and don't laugh . . . it's better. it's black too (don't you think that nearly all post look the same?!?), no more problems with the adjustement (it's the same system) and the relation price/weight is better too . . .

Strengths: Keeps my bum the right distance from the frame ;)
Weaknesses: None to speak of
Bottom Line:
Nice 'n' long - I always find supplied posts a bit short. Hard finish is virtually unmarked after about 5 years use. A tad fiddly to get the saddle as far back as possible with the required tilt (ie a tad nose-down), but with this type of design that's expected. 50 quid (ie 75 USD) compared to far more expensive long posts (ie Sycros). A shame Evans don't seem to stock 'em nowadays, but they're still imported by Ison Distribution (see www.roox.at)

Strengths: VERRRY long, Verry Strong, as said before nice finish - mines black. Adjustment is good but it is a faff until you get the position nearly there as both bolts need adjusting.
Weaknesses: Length! Mine is going to be cut down so I can lower it for downhills.
Bottom Line:
Great value quality post. Cant go wrong really unless you are after something really light.
Strengths: the seat post has one function: attach the saddle to the bike. the rooX post does this VERY well. Also the fine adustments can be made with PINPOINT acuracy
Weaknesses: Sayin 'rooX seatpost' and weakness is total BLASPHAMEY!

Strengths: Solid design, no welds or bonds, large clamp, insertion marking, looks good.
Weaknesses: None found yet
Bottom Line:
Great, solid, good looking post and I'm 220 lbs. Slightly less money that the super expensive Thompson and Raceface stuff but just as strong. Good post for anyone looking for a long lasting post.
Strengths: Solid construction. Hard wearing finish. 430mm; as long as anyone could ever need. Useful length markings on rear of post so you can make quick adjustments to your favourite heights.
Weaknesses: None found yet.
Bottom Line:
If you need a longer than average post this is it. Thrown into the deal you get excellent construction, finish and fit (and those handy length markings).
