Strengths: -Fit and finish
-One-bolt seat clamp
-Light weight (192g for 31.6 x 400, 0mm offset)
-No slip on my Niner Air 9 frame
Weaknesses: -none so farBottom Line: Super high quality piece, as expected from Ritchey. I also own a WCS 4-axis stem. Their fit and finish is top notch. High price, but high quality to match. If you shop wisely, you can find Ritchey stuff for decent price. My 31.6x400 0 offset post came in at 192g actual. One-bolt seat clamp is easy to adjust - one of the best camp designs. Good support too for seat rails (I have a Ti rail seat - WTC Rocket V team)
Ride quality slightly improved over aluminum post. Nothing major, but certainly no worse. Any little bit helps on a hardtail.
Fit was perfect with Niner Air 9 frame. No slip. Didn't have to overly tighten - which you hear all too often for carbon posts. I didn't have to use any paste either.

Strengths: Looks very nice and easy setup.Weaknesses: Beware!!!The seatpost comes with outer clamps made for 7mm diameter rails; so they don't match oversized carbon rails having 8-9mm.Bottom Line: Be sure to order the right seatpost-clamp if you have carbonrailed saddle. The carbon clamps comes in two versions; for fizik and selle italia
(If it wasn't for the extra carbon clamp needed, I would give it fiver overall, sorry Ritch)

Strengths: exquisite Tom Ritchey mtb componant design at its very best.
very light + very strong + really easy to use.
SL one bolt clamp system holds saddle supertight + does not creak.
good range of post sizes + range of wide rail kits for carbon saddles - like my SLR Carbonio Flow.
it never slips, even hard jolts with my Epic's FSR rear suspension fast asleep.
Weaknesses: can MSRP be a weakness? but you get what you pay for with this seatpost (...shop around!)
Bottom Line: a trully beautiful WCS Carbon weave seatpost that works as well as it looks, the WCS Carbon 4-Axis stem is equally good + matches it perfectly.
shop around for the best prices because the MSRP is very steep.
...5 chilis for value - if you can nab it for $100 under MSRP like i did!...
