Joplin drop post, can I change the tubes from a 3" to a 4" and viceversa

So I have two post a short travel version on my nomad (30.9mm) and a long travel version on my Nicolai hardtail (31.6mm), so the question is can I change the seat post tube so I get the long travel version on the Nomad and the short one on the Nicolai, are they the same size internally..!?
