Strengths:    Great Design, excellent finish,

Weaknesses:    Barrel nuts for attaching the saddle lack strength

Bottom Line:
The seatpost appears to be well constructed and the design of the seat clamp allows easy saddle installation and a wide selection of adjustment. However, the barrel nuts supplied with the seatpost are very light and lack strength. Any tension applied to the fixing bolt that exceeds Control Techs' specification may result in complete failure of the barrel nut. Support from Control Tech is extremely slow and replacement parts appear to be rare. If you want to get any use out of this post then keep the bolt tension below Control Tech specification or buy some steel barrel nuts (Dowel Nuts).
