Submitted by pa mtnbkr a Cross Country Rider from harrisburg
Date Reviewed: October 9, 2003
Duration Product Used:3 months
Strengths:fluid movement on the needle bearings as opposed to competition.
Weaknesses:takes some time to loosen up from when it is new
Similar Products Used:most of the competition on test riding only
Bike Setup:ti hardtail
Bottom Line:Even with ti being forgiving this post takes the bump out of riding. Roots and washboards are no longer issues. Mine has also withstood an auto accident that twisted the seat up so badly that it broke the seat's ti rails. The seatpost seems to still be fine. This product is great for cross country use as well as city cruisers, It is also good for
new riders trying to get used to seating as an issue, though it won't solve the issue of a B-A-D seat entirely.
Be sure it will fit your particular frame seat tube when you decide to purchase one.

Date Reviewed: October 2, 2002
Favorite Trail:Powderface trail
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $190.00
Purchased At:Bowcycle
Strengths:Adjustable preload, smooth, fairly light.
Weaknesses:Available in only a 27.2 diameter.
Bike Setup:Specialized Stumpjumper Disc
Bottom Line:This seatpost has saved my butt and spine by taking the edge off those rutted hardpack trails that are littered with tree roots. It only has a 1.85" travel and you need the right shim size if you are going to use it on any other bike other than a Cannondale. If you are looking at softening the rear of your hardtail this might be your answer.
