Bottom Line:
Its a good stiff saddle that doesnt get in the way of peddling, absorbs the bumps well but takes a little breaking in/getting used to. More suited to road riding or XC racing. Its not good for long Mtn bike rides or DH/FR. Gell relief zone is nice. This one stays on my road bike, the SDG BelAir stays on the MTnBike. Good seat for cheap.

LIGHT! It's stiff and strong, just the way i like it.
Weaknesses:
I've had one or two occasions after 5+ hour rides where i was a little numb. Nothing that wearing better bike shorts couldn't fix

Bottom Line:
Wow compaired to the seats i've ridden on up until this one, it's a dream! And for the weight saved, i guess i can just plan my night life around the down times in riding. The bike also came with the easton carbon fiber post which adds to the weight savings. all in all, very dependable and rigid. Just periodically check all the hex bolts on the saddle to make sure nothing's comming loose.

This review is for the cromoly version. I bought this (and the Easton EA50 seatpost) to use as a replacement for my Bontrager/thudbuster set-up, mainly for when I'm racing. I figured that between 230gr saved on the post, and 100gr saved on the seat (and various other race day changes), that I'd have a bike that was quite a bit lighter. I also figured my rear would get a beating, having gotten pretty used to the Thudbuster. I've tried this saddle out for several rides now (w/o Thudbuster), and I'm real pleased with the comfort. If you do happen to get this, and don't like the way it feels, make a few minor adjustments. The two reviews before this one didn't faze me in the least when making a decision here. Whether or not you like a seat (or shorts, shoes or anything else where comfort plays into it), is real subjective, and depends on factors othere than just the seat itself. I like this seat a lot.

I actually got it to put on my recently aquired Kula, but my butt likes it so much, it will go on my primary bike, the Hot. Slender shape is very familiar, plus it has a little cut out with gel that is a little langiappe. Real leather and Ti rails to take the sting out of our rocky trails. I love it so far.
