Bottom Line:

i just re-pack this saddle for shipping back to t-gear
the saddle is well made, good padding, flex in the shell, nice leather
but.....who can the ride the thing...
the saddle puts all the pressure on your sit bones..in an unnatural fashion
since the DR from boston...everyone knows the guy
the world is cutting holes in their saddles
after searching and ridding the wtb x on the road..wtb x flash on the wind
trainer..WTB seems to hit the nail
i also tried..titec dh..put a football on your seatpost
flite..the dr has a point
regal choice for 10 years..but things change
i am going to buy the wtb 98

Bottom Line:

This saddle was designed so as not to hurt the male anatomy resting upon it. This is
becoming a very big issue now as the August issue of Bicycling and an episode on 20/20
showed.
This saddle is made by Selle San Marco as the Aero (see it on their website). It has an
open area in the middle which will not compress the urologic and genital structures. The
T/Gear version is modified with textured leather and their own logo.
I like mine. It seems to work as they say. My only complaint is that the Titanium rail version
is advertised as 220 grams whereas mine weighs 257. Also (and this applies to all saddles) ,
I wish they would put durable edges on the rear sides because the leather always scuffs up
when I take even a minor spill. Use some aluminum here or something tuff.
This is , in my opinion, as good as they get now but I hope we see some better stuff in the
future. There is a huge room for improvement. The Ti saddle is $85 including shipping and
the standard is $65. Call 1-800-889-GEAR for the brochure.
I did not really wan't to advertise for them but I think riders need to check out alternatives to
the everyday products.
