Strengths:    it was free

Weaknesses:    SOOOOOO uncomfortable! really a very unpleasant ride.

Bottom Line:
this is an aweful saddle. i bought a used enduro and after two rides i had had enough of this saddle. i have swapped it out for a wtb rocket v. it is my first modification and just riding around the block i can tell it was a wise decision.

Strengths:    Slightly less expensive compared to other love-groove saddles

Weaknesses:    Not comfortable at all

Bottom Line:
Saddle comfort is a very personal thing. I got this saddle after reading all the hype on how much better the body geometry saddles are for protecting the family jewels on long rides. Problem is that the "Comp" has too much padding and the padding is too soft. And this on a saddle that is brand new! Consequently, the rider sinks down into the saddle - negating any benefits of the so-called love groove. I get pain after one hour of riding - everytime.

Another bike shop I went to had a much broader lineup of saddles and let me try out an old Selle Italia Trans Am model with that donut hole in the middle. Even though the Selle Italia saddle was heavily used, it performed its job admirably. I am now on a new Selle Italia saddle - anyone want a (very) slightly used Specialized saddle ?

I give 2 chilis for value - relatively cheap compared to other love groove saddles.

But I give 1 chili overall - does not perform as promised. Try using all the other love groove saddle before making the decision. I know I should have - would have saved enough to buy a pair of eggbeater pedals.

Strengths:    Respectable weight. Ok for short rides

Weaknesses:    Ouch, Ouch, Ouch. If you stand up a little on the trail your ok.

Bottom Line:
This seat seams ok when you stand up and take a butt rest. I used this seat on my trainer and after buying a nice pair of shorts the seat still hurts. I would not recommend a full ride sitting down on this seat. I did a 28 mile road ride and I was numb afterwords.

I heard the WTB Laser V stealth had great reviews so I bought one to see how that goes. I would not recommend this seat.

When your dealing with your genitals. Weight should not be a factor. I also tried a couple of other seat positions and body positions and It didnt help much.

Seat also shows wear on the nose after only 400 miles.

Strengths:    *comfy keeps your bit in working order not badly priced
*kevlar side pannels to keep it looking good

Weaknesses:    week top material (my bike fell over and got a hole in it)
not waterproof

Bottom Line:
I've spent a year with the sadle that came with my bike and have just put this on as I found it for £20 and had heard they were good form someone who had one and did 4,000 mile on his bike. Just done a 35 mile ride off road and it seems very good.

P.S. feels very odd to start off with but you get used to it

P.P.S. keep your lady happy and buy it.
