Strengths: lightweight

feels greatWeaknesses: none at the momentBottom Line: I weigh 130, so im relatively lightweight. This saddle is perfect for me, it feels great, only took me a few minutes to get used to it.
Came with a purchase of a used bike that cost $160, so i guess price wasn't an issue with me.

Strengths: Comfortable, reasonable weightWeaknesses: Poor construction, too expensiveBottom Line: I found this a very comfortable XC saddle, BUT after one low speed fall the saddle popped off the rails and it was not possible to refit it. 10 miles back with no saddle!
There seems to be a design flaw in that the base of the saddle is quite flexible and the rails do not extend far enough into the holes at the back. I've never had this problem with any other saddle in all my years of riding.

Strengths: -somewhat lightweight.
-Looks nice
Weaknesses: -Geometry for who? A little boy?
-Way to uncomfortable/stiff/narrow. This is best to be put on a road bike.Bottom Line: Ok, this seat came stock on my EPIC and for a guy my size(6'1" 200lbs), i knew right away that this seat was going to make me feel like a punk in prison after the first long ride. It's way to stiff for mountain biking, PERIOD. It's not even that lightweight when compared to the WTB Rocket V laser w/ TI rails that i just bought. The WTB seat is LIGHTER and about 100 times more comfortable. If you're someone who's a little bigger, i highly recommend giving this seat the boot and go with the WTB.

Strengths: Lightwieght and durable. Holds up well after 700 miles and countless wrecks. I had one of these on my Rockhopper and loved it. So I got on for my Stumpjumper. Its not the plushest seat, but it works well for what I ride. The cut in the rear makes for a much easier ride on my tailbone and in my opinion, its the best for the money.Weaknesses: Could be a bit more softBottom Line: If you want a light seat that can take a serious pounding, this is the one for you. If your a pantiwaist and you need more padding for your candy ass, go elsewhere, this is where the big boys sit...

Strengths: Light weight, comfortable, narrower than my previous saddle.Weaknesses: Seat falls off of railsBottom Line: I used this seat once, and it fell off the rails. I couldn't get it back together without modifying it, so I returned it. It seemed comfortable enough before it broke, although not as comfortable as my previous saddle. I think the plastic underside of the seat flexes allowing the rails to come out of the holes. If you're not an aggressive rider, this seat would probably hold up.

Strengths: It's lower weight may save you some grams, but there are way lighter seats out there. This comes in at an advertised 265g.Weaknesses: Although rideable for a harder seat, it is still hard. There is padding though. Make sure to bathe after every ride!Bottom Line: It is not the lightest seat available on the market, but this seat is very well designed. I think it is supposed to be more of road oriented seat, but it works for MTBing too. Probably almost the lightest seat you'd want to take into the woods, as other seats may lack some padding to save weight. My butt definately hurts after every ride, its like sitting on a rail, but padded seats are even worse when it comes to agrivating saddle sores. The general recommendation is to keep your rear free of bacteria. Since selecting a saddle is one of the most important descisions you will be making for yourself I would recommend that you try this one out first. The reason why I have it is that it came with the bike, I bought a new seat (San Marco Aspide) but one look at the graphics sewn into it I knew that it would be punishment my butt so I stuck with the pro. Saddles always come with comprimise, if weight is not a concern get the one with that gives the maximum comfort/performance ratio. To me the pro comes in at medium-high performance but low in comfort, but when compared to other medium-high performance seats the comfort level is actually high. You see it is a very confusing mix of what you want and what you can get, so you need to choose wisely! You butt crack depends on it!

Extremely comfortable for my arseWeaknesses: Won't transform into a buxom large breasted beauty at midnightBottom Line: Specialized have worked it out - you don't need loads of gel (although this saddle does have the red V's on the underside containing the gear)or padding to make a great saddle - this saddle forces you to sit in the correct position and once you become accutomed to this the saddle is superb. I guess it won't work for everyone but I'm 6'2" with a "medium arse" and it works for me. As I got it at a bargain price I must give it 5 for value but at retail I might knock one stubbie off the card.

Weaknesses: NoneBottom Line: I have been on the quest for the perfect saddle for my butt and this so far is the one.
I am thin rider, yes I am one of those 130 lbs climbers.
Since have a thin rear, I figured that a comfy padded saddle was the ticket, but not so. The plusher the saddle, the more it sinks into the crotch area, even with the cutouts models.
So after months of testing out various saddles, I think these thinner "flite style" saddles are the best for my body type.
The thin padding and shape of the BG Pro ensures that my sit bones are the main contact points. These are not the most comfortable saddles at first, but give it a week for your body to get used to it.
So if you are thin rider, this might be the ticket.

Strengths: The most comfy saddle I've ever tried in 15yrs. Shape similar to firm favorite Flite, with protection for ya bits.Weaknesses: Dodgy build quality for this price!!Bottom Line: Doesn't look comfy but within minutes of first ride recognised it as easily the most comfy saddle I've tried. If you like Flites you'll like this shape, firm and narrow. Tried Selle Italias solution to numbness with Prolink, but soft and squidgy gel and construction does not make a comfy saddle, and they're heavy, likewise WTB's may have more padding but they're way too wide for me
Specialized realise that with great shape you dont need gel or loads of padding even for long rides. Immediately noticed that more weight was placed on 'sitbones' than normal saddle, feels a bit weird at first but soon translates to comfy. Dont really notice that the center sections missing, but you can feel that the sensitive bits of your undercariage are being saved the pressure!! However, I can imagine this design only works for slim/medium framed people, if your a wide ass steer clear.
Dismayed by dodgy construction given the price, my saddle had rails that were twisted in the frame, and the padding on one side was far softer than the other. Am returning it now, find a good one.
Still giving it 5 chillies, a saddle as well designed as this deserves it. Get one and save your manhood for other other riding.

Strengths: light, comfortable, looks goodWeaknesses: none yetBottom Line: When I got the Stumpjumper I thought I was going to need a new saddle. This one just looks so race ready I was sure it was going to be painfull. Much to my surprise, its more comfortable than other, more padded, saddles I've ridden. The bottom line is that I'm impressed with this saddle and will keep it!

Strengths: looked coolWeaknesses: ouch!Bottom Line: This is the pro ti version. Bought the saddle for preventative care for my junk. The edges on the groove cut into my bonch, the very item it was supposed to protect! I know that saddles are a very individual thing so what didn't work for me might work for you. Personnally I could not recommend this to anyone. Went back to my sdg (very comfy).

Strengths: Confortable When you get used to it, and light.Weaknesses: Came apart after 2 ridesBottom Line: Takes a couple of rides to get comfortable in this saddle, once you do however its fine and offers great support. The problem i had with it is, the rails became detached from the saddle while riding, not a crash, the thing just popped of the rails. The only way of remounting it is to file off some of the plastic and stamp hard on the saddle to enable the rails to fit back into place. That was 2 months ago though and sinse then i`ve had no problems.

Strengths: Looks cool. Light weight. Might have kids that liveWeaknesses: Hard as a f*&*(*&%% rock--hopefully, will break in after a couple of rides. Price (I suppose you get what you pay for, though)Bottom Line: I got this saddle about a week ago. The price was a bit steep, but I have learned when replacing components, it generally pays to go with the upgrade, even if it costs a little more, especially as if and when I buy a new bike, I will keep the saddle.
I have used it once, in a 20km race. As soon as I got on the bike, I noticed that the seat was a lot harder than the SDG Sattelite that came stock on the bike. By the end of the race I had a sore ass--so sore in fact that I could not ride the next day. Trust me, it's no laughing matter.
I assume that in time, the seat will get broken in and will be more comforable. Has anyone else with this seat had this experience. Please drop me a line and let me know because if things do not get better, I am taking this puppy back to the store for a refund.

Strengths: Looks cool; kevlar sides; light and functional.Weaknesses: Kevlar sides aren't even. If you are going to spend top-dollar for a product, I think aesthetics and performance should be the same.Bottom Line: The Specialized BG Pro works okay for my little butt (the best saddle I've used so far) and I don't experience any numbness. I still feel a slight ache after a ride, but that's expected when I spend time in the saddle I guess.
