Strengths: Very Comfortable (very little padding), inexpensive, good looking, relatively light-weight,Weaknesses: noneBottom Line: After my saddle vader broke, I was down to the wire to get a saddle - just one week before my first mtb century! I needed a saddle with just enough padding, which is hard to determine over the Internet. Short version: this saddle was it and was comfortable during the century and continues to be comfortable.
For: racers, fast riders. Those used to very lightly padded saddles
Not for: recreational riders who need memory foam or plush soft saddles
Favorite Trail: any
Duration Product Used: 3 months

Strengths: A very simple, functional, and inexpensive ti-railed saddle. It has taken its share of hard landings, scraps and such with above average result for a minimal saddle.Weaknesses: The carbon plate is for looks in back, and has come off once. Otherwise it is a nylon base plate with enough give, The leather is "blueing" from black, but that is due course also.
Backcountry now sells it through their hucknroll site at $130 which is a complete rip off. So unless it falls in the less than $50 range later this year, shat.
Bottom Line: A very good purchase at a closeout price. I did not find the saddle nose to be too wide, actually just right when you use your thighs in average but full blown mtb riding. The rear width a shy narrow; enough for the sit bones, and also makes for easy enough transition fore and aft. It is NOT a poofy saddle.

Strengths: Light for the comfort level, wide nose, good looksWeaknesses: The really wide nose means that some people will rub their thighs against it while pedaling, not me.Bottom Line: At first I didn't like the wide nose on the saddle, but now it has found a home. I prefer this saddle on my rigid SS, if you get your weight on the back side of it it flexes and definitely takes the harshness out of some bumps.
I think this would also be good on a hardtail, probably not good on a road bike with a narrower q-factor, thigh rubbing might become a problem then.

Strengths: Padding, comfort and light weightWeaknesses: noneBottom Line: I don't know what saddle the previous reviewer has used but it must be one with a 1 inch spenco gel cover. This is the softest, most comfortable mountain bike saddle that I have ever used. I ride primarily road bikes and use a Selle SLR and everyone that has used one of those is well acquainted with lack of padding. In addition to my mtn bike, I put a Furano on my cyclecross bike and have loved it. I just wish steep and cheap would run those saddles again and I would load up.

Strengths: Light, and stiff. Looks good, Carbon style. Durable Cover considering.Weaknesses: Lack of pressure release points. Glued cover only.Bottom Line: I bought this saddle to ride long distance, initially felt hard, then broke in a little, but not enough. Anything over two hours on this saddle and my ass is sore! It puts too much pressure on my privates, and feels like it accumulates heat. Needs some pressure release zones/gel or something. Shape is not bad and pedaling feels good, easy to manouvre around and offers different positions with the longer nose (that could be more padded). I'll give it another shot with some newer better Cycling shorts, but I think I'll have to make a change, if it doesnt break in anymore. If you like a flat saddle try this, ohterwise look for something a bit more forgiving.
