The Selle Italia SLR Superflow 130 features an extraordinarily light carbon composite shell with EVA foam padding and a genuine leather cover. Added to the classic SLR shape is revolutionary Superflow, a large, center cutout.
Strengths: For the ass who doesnt know what it likes. I pulled the pin and bough this saddle 7-8 months ago and will be buying a second for my other bike. The large cut out kinda speaks for itself, no more man pain ! With this seat your sit bones seem to be positioned on either side of the cutout and it must minimise friction and pain on the body parts that usually suffer on 4+ hour rides. It also comes in pretty good on the scales at around 200g.
Looks good too, real leather covering with Ti rails and carbon inserts on the top.
Weaknesses: $$$ pricey. Some people mark down components because of price but nobody twisted my arm and made me buy it, i knew the price before paid for it. Besides what price do you put on a comfortable seat.
Awesome saddle, get your sitbones measured before buying as it comes in 145mm or 130mm. I will be buying another next time i see one on special.
(All the internet pictures of these seats make it look like they are grey leather but its only the light reflecting off it as i can confirm they are 100% black leather)
I'm looking to change my saddle. Can anyone confirm whether the Selle Italia SLR SuperFlow 145 is directly compatible with the stock '11 Epic Comp Carbon 29er seatpost? I read that some saddle rails cause grief?
