Product Description

The Fizik Aliante Gamma Twin Flex K:ium Saddle is built with a Twin Flex shell. It's not unlike the Wing Flex technology used on the Arione saddle, but at the same time, it's totally different. The general concept of creating controlled flex is the same; Fizik uses two different materials to alter the flex characteristics of the shell. But instead of doing it on the sides (which is what Fizik does on the Arione), the Twin Flex on the Aliante has an integrated swatch of aluminized fiberglass fabric running lengthwise down the middle so the shell flexes more in that area. It's softer than a full-on plastic shell, but firmer than what you'd get from a typical cut-out saddle. The rails are made of K:ium, a high-end steel alloy that is 8% lighter than titanium and equal in strength. The rails are marked with numeric and line gradations for more accurate adjusting. Other than the cloth portion in the cutout, the majority of the shell is a carbon reinforced nylon composite. The Fizik Aliante Gamma Twin Flex K:ium Saddle is available in Black/white and White/black. It is ICS compatible, meaning you can use a Fizik ICS saddle bag or blinky light, and either will clip right into place on the underside of the seat. 265 x 142mm.
