Strengths: DesignWeaknesses: WeighBottom Line: I just tested a Brooks Colt and Swallow saddles. Colt Vs. Swallow. The swallow felt right from the start. No issues,no discomfort just a fine comfortable saddle. The colt is a good looking saddle and great for most functions. But for comfort and design definetely the Swallow.

Strengths: Very light compared to my 20+ year old Brooks B17. It is also something a bit different to all the gel, vinyl and other "modern" materials used today. Some designs are timeless.Weaknesses: Wish it had a waterproof coating on the underside as it gets wet/muddy when my rear mudguard is removed in the summer months. Just got to clean it...Bottom Line: A friend donated his B17 to me approx 5 years ago. It was at least 15 years old at the time...and had done several tours of Majorca. It is a wonderful saddle and hardly any adjustment is needed to keep the leather in tension. I hope this will be the same.

Strengths: impossible to get from the manufacturer or from a LBS (unless they are totaly clueless). My buddy got one on ebay brand new in box with original packaging for less than 100 bucks... so there you go. I paid way top dollar.Weaknesses: None.Bottom Line: best saddle ever made. Lighter than any other Brooks. It's like buying Versace leather or Coach luggage -- only more for function than fashion. And the function defnitely lives up to the usefulness of the product.
The fit and finish is perfect, and with proper conditioning will tailor to your iberial tuberosities (your sit bones) like no other saddle can. C'mon these guys have made saddles for over 500 years (horses, etc.) before making bike seats.
My only complaint is the tightening bolt which eventually will stretch the leather to it's max has no expandability... what do i do in 20 years when I can't tighten it any more? minor quibble.
But again, the finest saddle ever made, and brought to you out of love from England in Ti and Leather for your most impressive fantasies.

Strengths: Beautiful piece of leather craftmanship, absolutely gorgeous design and finish, great marketing, great packaging, functional AND comfortable.Weaknesses: Expensive, looks better on a road bike than on a mountain bike,Bottom Line: Once I got over the luxury and gorgeous looks, and actually rode with it, I was amazed that this minimalist construction could be so comfortable. It was actually much more comfortable out of the box than the Swift (for no obvious design reason). It fills completely its purpose and transforms any fine trad frame into a statement of style and culture. Looks kind of silly on my Fuel EX though, but are we sensitive to looks? ;-)
