Strengths: Comfort even after days of day long riding! Springs provide some suspension on hard touring bikes.Weaknesses: Weight of saddle (although on a fully laden touring bike the extra weight won't make much difference). Not waterproof (but use of a plastic bag over the seat provides protection from the rain)Bottom Line: I have ridden over 10,000 km on this saddle and from the first day of use until the present I have experienced no pain at all. I was told that it would take a while for it to become comfortable and take my shape, but I needed no time to break it in. Every other saddle that I have tried has involved some level of discomfort after 2 - 3 hours of riding which gets progressively worse over subsequent days. This is the perfect saddle for all women who spend any lengthy amounts of time in the saddle. You really forget that the saddle is there.
In all honesty, if heading off on long tours over several days, you might expect some minor discomfort even with this saddle after the first long day (which is inevitable in any saddle if your bum's not used to lengthy rides) but it WILL get better over the next couple of days as your bum adapts to the riding. This has not been the case with other saddles - they have always gotton progressively worse.
I would never try another saddle - it can't get better!!!

Strengths: Comfortable straight out of the box, excellent quality and craftsmanship, the springs take out alot of the small bumps, and its just plain beautiful.Weaknesses: Its a little on the heavy side.Bottom Line: My Countess is still new. I've had it for less than a month, but I can already tell that it is far superior to all the saddles I've tried in the past. Many claim that Brooks saddles take a long time to break in. Well, I can tell you that mine felt great straight out of the box and did not hurt me in any of my feminine areas. This saddle was created with a sort of craftsmanship that is hard to find in this day and age. Overall, this is a great saddle and I recommend it to everyone.
