i am new to biking. i have ridden my bike about eight times, each time for about 1.5 hours. my ass is constantly hurting. i am all about comfort. that is why i bought a nitro-pro gas shock seatpost (which works great). i would hate to think how i would feel without that. my brooks conquest order was screwed up, so it looks like i will be umcomfortable again this weekend. i bought a brooks after reading all of the reviews listed on this site, as well as other highly recommended parts here and there (shinburger pedals, etc.) i cannot support the use of this product, as it does not do what it was designed to do.

Strengths:
Cheapish, comfortable when first sitting down, easy to slide forward and back on the seat, black!
Weaknesses:
Heavy, cover is a bit thin, gel is excessive on longer and rougher rides, builds up heat on hot humid days. The cover has wrinkled loose, but not torn in several crashes.

Giant ATX770 with no suspension. Old but beautiful.
Bottom Line:
Good for short rides on smooth tracks, but gets less and less comfortable on long rides and corrugated tracks. The gel softness seems to build up heat in the groin, and feels too spongy when bouncing around. I am light (about 68kg), but would prefer a harder seat. A good beginners seat, and suitable for well made tracks and riders wanting to cruise rather than test themselves.

Basic reliable saddle
Weaknesses:
Right side started to sag. No Perinial (sp) relief zone.
Similar Products Used:
Many other saddles: Brooks, Terry, Selle Italia, etc.
Bike Setup:
1993 Univega Via D'Oro hybrid commuter.
Bottom Line:
This seat was reasonably comfy for many years. The right side started sagging and the seat is now uncomfortable. It held up to rain, crashes, abuse, and neglect. And then, it ultimately failed.

This saddle is so much better than the stock moab saddle I couldn't believe it. Cover is easy to clean. Not quite a comfy as the Serfas on my road bike but Serfas does not make that saddle anymore. Not really bothered by the decals rubbing off. Seems to be holding up well.
