My first riser and I can't complain one bit. Perfect rise, sweep, and width as clamped to my Kore Elite stem. Durable bead blasted finish and graphics are surprising at the low price. I guess it's kind of heavy, though I have never noticed or cared, especially for $20, and it is riser bar after all. I ride mostly XC and it's more than ride and crash worthy for that purpose, but if it ever somehow did break I would immediately buy another one. Hellbent for Titec!

If your looking for something that takes a beating from a former 20" dirtjumper then these are the bars for you. Of all the handlebars I've tried I like the Titec Ti Hellbent is my favorite. What feels right for one rider may not suit the next. But for me, the angles are just right, and it has a very solid feel. It's well made from good material, and anyone who breaks one is using it very hard. Although the bar is wider than many, I'd like an additional inch or so. Hayes brakes, Shimano index shifters, and a long ODI grips take up a lot of length. If the grip area of these bars was any shorter, it wouldn't be enough. Unfortunately the bar is available in only one rise, and even with the tall Azonic "0" stem, it wasn't high enough. So, my favorite bar sits in a box while I ride with the Easton.

Risers Suck
Bottom Line:
I just got a new Schwinn Homegrown all jazzed about it, go for my first ride on it and realized that riser bars suck. Maybe if this was a downhill bike the bar would be a good thing but they don't belong on cross country race bikes. This is a good quality product so I will probaly switch to a flat Titec bar. If you like your flat bar stick with it if your looking for a change try a riser. I personally don't like them.

these bars are as indestructable as can be expected. after building my fsr comp up with a jr t, i needed a much different handelbar to stand up to the abuse i expected to give the bike. after a couple of races and a little local riding they stood up well and never showed any signs of weakening. i got rid of the fsr for a cannondale hardtail, but i still kept the bars. that says enough.

Bottom Line:
Titec makes great equipment and the Hellbent is no exception. Makes any kind of biking easier and the added width makes super tecnical riding easier. I've beaten this thing a lot with drop-offs, crashes, hard hits etc... and I have not seen a single sign of weakening. Weight is not a big issue with me (just makes me stronger!) so the Hellbent was a great choice.

Bottom Line:
This is an entry level riser bar. The rise is little, and the bar sweeps back enough to make one bow-armed. I will give credit for its ability to easily fit my syncros stem without prying it open in the vise. My Azonic had this problem, but it rides much, much better. GO WITH AZONIC.

Got the yellow bar, looks great with my Baby Blue Stumpy M2 Comp. The bar does its job with no complaints. I added this bar as I got a FS that has about 3.5 of travel and running a straight bar could get difficult, especially during climbs, or when you needed to hop up stuff. The added leverage is a godsend, believe me!

Hey .. I just got a yellow one. It looks cool on my Giant Warp DS2, because my bike is in blue and yellow. Haven't really tried riding with HellBent in the trails yet .. hope it will turn out good. The reason for buying it is because it doesn't cost too much and isn't too heavy too. Those who have not get it should try ; )

I just picked up this bar on the weekend. Did not get onto the trail yet. I am in wonder if I should be cutting it down 25 in vs he 20 I had is a big difference. I may get a few weeks of riding in first. So far I love the control it helps give and the red is way cool.

Bottom Line:
These handlebars are great. I ride a lot of technical trails and these a riser handlebar makes it so much easier to lift my front end. It really shines on technical downhills because I can get my weight back more. When I saw how wide they are, I was sure I would want to cut them down. After a few rides I really became used to the increased leverage that a wide bar offers. Unless you have narrow paths through the trees leave them the way they came and you won't be let down. They really haven't hurt my climbing, although i need to use more body english to keep my front tire on terra firma. I bought the powdercoat red bar and it is a beaut! Another great product from Titec!

This bar rules! It has a sweet beadblasted finish to keep your grips in place, it's nice 'n wide so you can modify it to your own length, it works great for trials, XC and dual-slalom riding. It has a good price too, 39.98 w/o shipping from Price Point. Worth the weight penalty(+15 grams). It gives me way more control overa flat bar! Riser bars aren't for downhill anymore!

Bottom Line:
This is the best handlebar I've used so far. It's made out of 6061-T6 aluminum alloy and weighs slightly more than 300 grams. The width and sweep are very comfortable. These bars are stiff and strong. They stand up to alot of abuse. My whole team uses this bar. The bars come in black, so it's easy to chip off some paint. Titec also makes titanium versions, but they're only 15 grams lighter and twice the price.
