Strengths:    ~ Mine weighed 205g, in 730mm width
~ Beefy and stiff - no flex, whatsoever
~ Thomson uses Aerospace-grade Toray T700 carbon
~ 730mm width offers incredible descent control
~ Beautiful, Jet Black finish looks boss
~ Six degree backsweep works
~ Flat top can also flip-flop for even lower bar position
~ Priced reasonable

Weaknesses:    None, after one year of active use.

Bottom Line:
I've been fortunate to try nearly every light, wide carbon flat bar ever made(I own online LBS)....and the Thomson gets my vote. Whereas the Easton EC70 had noticeable flex on powered, standing climbs - the Thomson was rock-solid, like a thick steel pipe. Even the Enve Sweep and Niner RDO displayed some flex. The Thomson X-Country has buttery smooth shock damping and vibration suppression, through the gnarliest rock gardens.

Thomson also is one of the USA's largest Aerospace contractors. I've flown in their Boeing 777 Dreamliner, with the carbon wings/fuselage. If 450+ people and crew entrust Thomson with their lives.....you can bet your a** is also covered out on the trails!
