Date Reviewed: October 8, 2009
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $100.00
Strengths:Strength. Weight. Shape. Finish.
Weaknesses:No Such thing
Similar Products Used:Bontrager, easton, truvativ, + others
Bike Setup:6inch AM with nice bits
Bottom Line:This is for the Carbon Vector Low Rise. 680mm/12deg sweep takes an hour or so to get used to, but is incredibly comfortable, and gives fantastic control without causing wrist/hand pain. Lighter than many XC bars, as strong as any DH bar; check out the testing video on the syntace site and you'll see what I mean. Forget all this rest, this is absolutely the best! Worth every cent (in fact I bought 3 for future bike acquisitions).

Favorite Trail:lane cove
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $70.00
Purchased At:ebay
Strengths:Strong, light, durable
Weaknesses:none
Bike Setup:Trek 4300 hardtail, shimano XT groupset, thompson stem etc.
Bottom Line:I was a little apprehensive of carbon handlebars and components but I've been proven wrong by the Syntace. It is a great quality item and I have full confidence in it when riding. I've used this bar for well over 6 months now and it hasn't let me down yet. I've crashed many times, including some bad over the handlebar jobs but the bar is holding together nicely.

Favorite Trail:Twin Peaks
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Purchased At:Came on bike
Strengths:good geometry, it has the most back sweep of any bar ive tried, and i love it. strength, this bar has been tested by a german mag, and it really is the strongest. weight, you hardly notice the bar. stiffness, the bar responds amazingly well, even on the roughest downhill.
Weaknesses:it makes your friends drool on it.
Similar Products Used:none at this level.
Bike Setup:Giant DH. Shiver Dc, Atomlab Aircorps stem, Syntac Vector bars.
Bottom Line:I will buy this bar again. It matches the front end, see above, perfectly. Five burnt tacos for this one.

Bottom Line:First i was shocked by the price but after 2 hours at the trail the syntace vector was worth every penny.
the black finish looks cool and the decals are ok.
the angel and the rise are very comfortable and the diameter of the tube allows me to clip my mirge lights directly on the handlebar.

Similar Products Used:azonic and some oem syncros/gt crap. what happened to those guys?
Bike Setup:a beautiful cross country machine, just like me.

Submitted by Marko Blau a Racer from Switzerland
Date Reviewed: January 19, 2000
Favorite Trail:City Trials in Zuerich
Duration Product Used:6 months
Strengths:Extreme durable
very light at 260 gramms or so
wide at about 660mm
available in gold
Cool graphics that last
nice geometry
Weaknesses:definitly none.
Similar Products Used:Azonic World force (A friend of mine broke two of them)
Bike Setup:Hitec Trial Frame.
Hayes Hydraulic brakes.
Hayes front, Chris King rear hub.
Mavic 317/321 rims.
XTR Cranks.
VP-458 double cage Pedals
Syntace Megaforce Stem.

Bottom Line:The german BIKE magazine testet a few dozen Riser Bars in their durability and this one outlasted all of them BY FAR! It lasted even longer then top bars like easton monkey or the much havier answer alumlite bar.
So why waste your money on other bars if you can get the best for less money?
Get it!

5 burning rats!
