But unfortunately I would not recommend them for anyone who rides a rigid single speed. I had mine for 2 months and ended up bending them REALLY bad at the stem. I weigh 200 lbs. and ride very aggressive. I want to get another one of these but I just do not think they would hold up for my weight, set up and riding style. | | Bottom Line: | The surly bar is the best for single speeding. I haven't been able to bend or flex these yet on the many epic rides I've done with the lads. the bars are wide and need to be and the sweep makes for a comfortable position and ride. If you are planning to build up a S/S or already have one, do yourself a favour and get a bar that has been designed for S/S by S/S riders. If you are an Aussie reading this I know they may be a little more in price than some of the handlebars out there but the difference in the ride is huge, especially when you need to climb the hills. | | Value Rating:Overall Rating: |
