Date Reviewed: October 7, 2009
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Purchased At:pricepoint
Strengths:Light.... could be good for a city bike since they are so narrow
Weaknesses:Bent them in two after one fall. Too narrow. Too small degree of bend.
Similar Products Used:Easton
Bike Setup:Felt redemption 2, FOX Vanilla RLC, Srams x9 components....
Bottom Line:Great price...crappy product.

Favorite Trail:Still looking for a great one...
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $20.00
Purchased At:Pricepoint.com
Strengths:Price, good weight, strong
Weaknesses:Brand name doesn't have the cool factor...but then again neither do I.
Similar Products Used:OEM alloy bar
Bike Setup:'07 Diamondback Response Comp with some upgrades
Bottom Line:Purchased as part of a combo with a Sette Edge 90mm stem. Very happy overall with both components. The handlebar has good sweep, a slight rise that is easy on my back, and is nice and stiff. Graphics are minimal too, which I prefer. For the price, this combo can't be beat!

Favorite Trail:Bradberry Mt. State Park
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $25.00
Purchased At:Price Point
Strengths:Very light, cheap, and great to look at (I bought the white alloy)
Weaknesses:When I got it in the mail I quickly realized that the bar they sent me had been mounted and sent back. It have a few scratches on it but nothing serious. I called Price Point and they said the next order I make I'll receive free shipping...so I didn't really care.
Similar Products Used:Coda race, Easton ea30
Bike Setup:05 KHS Comp Soft Tail with American Classic Terrain wheels, Rock Shox Reba Team, full SRAM x-7, shimano slx disc
Bottom Line:I love the quality of these bars. I wasn't expecting them to be this nice for such a cheap price. The white looks incredible on my bike. I bought the 25.4 diameter and not only are these comfortable once I dialed them in they seem really rugged. I only weigh 143 and I only ride cross country and singletrack so I'm not pushing them to extreme limits but they work great for me and look even better!

Date Reviewed: January 19, 2009
Favorite Trail:All of them
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $20.00
Purchased At:Price Point
Strengths:Strong with very little flex, not flashy, great price. Replaced flat bar with this one and noticed increased control on first ride. I doubt there's a better handlebar for $20.00.
Weaknesses:None
Similar Products Used:stock flatbar
Bike Setup:Cannondale M700 Hardtail, Thomson Masterpiece, Rockshox, Cane Creek Aheadset, Shimano LX, Crank Brothers Pedals, Ritchey Vantage Comp Wheels, Avid Single Digit 7 Brakes, WTB Weirwolf Tires, WTB Devo SLT Saddle, Sette XLR Low Riser Bar, Sette Lock-on Grips, Sigma Computer
Bottom Line:Don't let the price fool you. You won't be disappointed with this handlebar. Use all the extra money you were going to spend and buy a Thomson Masterpiece saddlepost with it.

Submitted by Scott a Cross Country Rider from Alamogordo NM USA
Date Reviewed: June 1, 2008
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $20.00
Purchased At:Price Point
Strengths:This is for the oversized bar. Very stiff. Looks to be high quality. Fairly light. Cheap price.
Weaknesses:Very stiff. Bend seemed awkward at first but after a small adjustment and about a week of riding they feel familiar like an old couch.
Similar Products Used:Specialized S-Works XC flat bar
Bike Setup:Stump Jumper HT
Bottom Line:I really didnt want an oversized bar/stem, but Pricepoint was back ordered on the std size. It was a small weight penalty, but the O/S bar is very stiff. It is shot peened and anodized. It looks just as good construction wise as anything else.

Date Reviewed: May 15, 2007
Favorite Trail:Folsom Dike 8 to Salmon falls
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $20.00
Purchased At:Price Point
Strengths:Super inexpensive, will not tear like carbon, relatively light.
Weaknesses:None, product does what it is designed to do.
Similar Products Used:Stock straight bar on 02 Rockhopper
Bike Setup:2002 dual suspention Specialized Rockhopper. LX Drive train exept shifters. LX crank, Judy C fork, fox float rear 4", sette xlr bars( .75inch riser), LX brake levers, rim brakes(still work great but not as sexy as disks), Blackburn quadrant light, XC fire pro tires(love them). XT hubs with Ryno lite XL rims--Rest is stock.
Bottom Line:I originally was looking at carbon bars but they break and stress factor led me back to aluminum. These bars are 24" wide which matched my stock bars. The lift only .75". I was looking to stay close to original bar specs with a little rise for confort. I would pay 100 buck for a bar that did what I wanted but found it for 20, No argument from me. Don't let the price fool you these will work just fine.

Date Reviewed: December 15, 2004
Favorite Trail:Duffield
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $40.00
Purchased At:pricepoint, I think
Strengths:Definitely cheap and very durable and stiff. Not too heavy.
Weaknesses:None really, get what you pay for.
Similar Products Used:Specialized low rise, using Easton Monkeylite XC currently on new bike.
Bike Setup:Specialized Rockhopper, original starter bike with the Sette XLR handlebars.
Bottom Line:For the price, it's excellent. Bought the combo, as did the previous reviewer. No longer use as primary bike, but used the handlebar for 1 year and still use when conditions are muddy and wet with the good ole hardtail.

Similar Products Used:scott, answer, kalloy uno
Bike Setup:'04 Jamis XC pro, Fox float, XT
Bottom Line:What a deal, this thing is great if you want a low rise for cross country, and isn't the lightest in the world, but no porker at 220g
buy it with stem combo and it is only $37!!
