Strengths: Shape is perfect for 29ers, size, bendWeaknesses: A little weighty compared to carbon (265gr) and somewhat buzzyBottom Line: This review is for the 10-degree bar, which has no rise, but sweeps forward for about 2" each side of the stem and then back 10-deg. I'm used to 9-deg sweep on the Eastons on my 26" bike, so this is very comfortable and familiar while keeping the overall height down on the FS 29er compared to a riser bar. Overall width was good but I shaved 1/2" from each end to stay closer to 'normal' for me. Bar has good control, and did well in some of our softer sand with a 90mm stem. The bar felt a little buzzy with ODI grips, but will be trying some of the Sunline Big-S grips to see if that helps (Sunline half-waffle grips are great btw) as they are a little softer compound. Not a problem as alum bars tend to buzz more than carbon anyway. Anyone who likes the angle of most riser bars but wants to keep the front end lower should really check these out.
