Race Face SIXC 3-4 Riser Handlebar Pro Review

The Race Face SIXC 3/4 Riser handlebars are pretty sweet carbon bars, that are light, strong, and have an optimal width and decent rise. I tested the SIXC cranks recently, and these bars have the same toughness, subdued graphics and colors, and they certainly mean business. Continue reading →

Strengths:    Very strong and quite wide for fantastic leverage at 760mm length! It is pretty light too!

Weaknesses:    Took a little getting used to the 30.9 inches of length.

Bottom Line:
This super wide bar has increased my control over the bike while climbing and descending. Surprisingly, it has also helped with slow speed maneuverability. The only place that I really have to pay good attention to is when going between tight trees. Otherwise, I love this bar!

Strengths:    It's light, It's Strong, It's WIDE (725mm widest carbon bars available at the time of writing)! Good comfy AM bar that weighs in at 220g. nuff said.

Weaknesses:    Cost.. Being carbon, you have to watch for gouges, impact dents etc that can cause bar failure.

Bottom Line:
Got these Bars when they first came out. the rise is low (I like that) and the sweep is perfect. It's survived afew tumbles along with the usual "transit scuffs" in the back of the wagon etc. THey have no noticable flex, but the carbon definately "quietens" the trail chatter. Carbon bars do require abit more care during torqing down stem / controls and they won't stand up to deep scratches and sharp-point impact damage... It all comes down to how much of a weight weenie you are I guess.
