Strengths: Shot peened surface looks good. reasonably light. Wide enough to give room to move levers around.Weaknesses: NowtBottom Line: These bars are quality. They are wide enough to cut down if desired, but there is still sufficient room for moving of levers and shifters. They are also very strong, look good, and not too heavy.

Strengths: Strong, brace makes it look way better, good for xc riding alsoWeaknesses: brace come loose too oftenBottom Line: These are great bars to use for xc and trials. I haven't used it w/ DH yet cause I don't have an FS bike. I use these bars mainly for xc and urban as well as a little trials. They hold up very good. No cracks so far and the orange color is killer with red lizard skins grips. The rise I find is not bad but not good on steep uphills. I had to tilt the bar forward a little bit than the normal setup so that I can get stretched out in the cockpit. Otherwise, this is one of the best products that I have ever used.

Strengths:
the first two yearsWeaknesses:
the rest of the years that you have themBottom Line: The bars will hold up for about two years of heavy duty, go fast, big drop, lots of speed, weekend warrior stuff. I ended up cracking both the brace and the bar. The crossbar is pretty strong though. I didn't even know that it was cracked until i took the remaining pieces of the bar off of my bike.

PURCHASED A CLUB ROOST GO FAST XC RISER BAR FROM SUPERGO. 25mm RISE, CUT TO 24, 9deg. SWEEP. TOTALLY PERFECT FOR XC RIDING. JUST ENOUGH RISE SO YOU'RE NOT TOO STRETCHED OUT. GIVES MY BIKE A BALANCED FEEL. WITH LESS RISE & CUT TO 24, THE BARS ARE STIFF, DON'T NEED A BRACE AT ALL. WEIGHT IS JUST A BIT HEAVIER THAN FLAT BARS. IF YOU DO XC & LIKE TO TRY A RISER, GET THIS BAR. I THINK A RISER W/ 1.5 OR MORE, MAKES STEERING SLOW. WITH JUST UNDER 1, IT STEERS JUST AS QUICK AS FLAT BARS. OTHER RISER BAR MFG. TAKE NOTE, YOU WANT SALES TO THE XC CROWD WHO WANT A RISER, MAKE ONE W/ A RISE UNDER 1. TOTALLY SWWWWEEEEETTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have the club roost go fast downhill bars and they rock! actually i also had a pair on my trials bike and they worked great too. i use to ride those corny flat bars that came on my old kona. then once after a ride i hopped on my friend's bike and i was hooked. these things steer easier than yer mom's legs on my shoulders. and they feel just as good too. buy a pair and everyone will think yer cool.

I took the cross brace off ,but am putting it back on after reviewing the reviews.I don't think the extra grams are going to help if the darn bar snaps off,.The bars are a great item night and day difference on comfort and performance. It is like riding a cr250 moto.I would never ever use flat bars again, especially when you are 6'2 and the seat is so high yanno!

Bottom Line:
I bought, the comp II bar, that comes with the x-brace. What can I say, just an absolutely fabulous bar. The rise is just right (1.5) and these bars increase the control I have over my bike sooooooooooo dramatically. They are fairly heavy for the weight conscious, but hell whats an extra 100 g in the big scheme of things. So toss away your flats and bar ends and buy a pair of these schweeet thangs.
