Submitted by Dan a Weekend Warrior from Williamsburg, VA
Date Reviewed: November 9, 2005
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $6.00
Purchased At:Performance or the like
Strengths:Cheap, thin.
Weaknesses:Will not stay put.
Bike Setup:Redline Monocog for getting around campus. Elephant noisemaker on handlebars.
Bottom Line:Have used nothing (compressed air to mount), water, iso. alcohol, SUPER HOLD hairspray, and finally glue. The things are all over the place except for the ends where the rubber is thicker. Would have liked the thin diameter but I want to stay rubber down.

Pass on this one.

Date Reviewed: July 11, 2004
Favorite Trail:dirt
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $14.00
Purchased At:LBS
Strengths:fat grip, comfortable
Weaknesses:none yet
Similar Products Used:Bonti crap that came stock
Bike Setup:Trek 4500, rhynolite rims, jagwire brakes,
Bottom Line:This is for the BLACKWALL grips, not the thin ones. I've used them for about a week so far and I love them. nice to grab, they damp out the vibrations better then the stockers, seem to work well with gloves. will post again when I've got more miles on them. Probably better for more extreme riders then the XC racing set.

Date Reviewed: March 31, 2003
Duration Product Used:2 Years
Strengths:Nice looks.
Weaknesses:Slips a lot.
Similar Products Used:Serfas Pro Grip, Bontrager grips
Bottom Line:Slips in any condition. Won't stay put on the bar. I had it glued on for a while, but after a few hours it came loose again... annoying. They're just as slim as the name implies, which is quite nice if you've got good padding in your gloves.

Date Reviewed: August 19, 1999
Favorite Trail:
all
Duration Product Used:
1 Year
Strengths:
they look cool
Weaknesses:
too slim
Similar Products Used:
yeti, Bontrager
Bike Setup:
fisher joshua
Bottom Line:these grips are too skinny. The small diameter doesn't give you much gripping area making ya feel not so in control. They hurt the hands due to the small diameter.
Overall Rating:2
