A word of advice: use anti-seize compound on the threads of the lock ring bolts or you may have to resort to extreme measures to get them off.

Great comfort, cushion, sticky grip, and hand support. They lock-on and don't move. Great for medium and large hands. Made in the USA.

These are great grips. They are sticky and provide lots of cushion. As I mentioned above, sometimes, when I squeeze down hard, the ample cushion gives the impression that the grip is sliding. But the grips don't move, they lock on just fine. I recommend these grips for anyone with medium to large hands. I have medium hands and I think they would be too big if my hands were smaller. I am an all mountain rider and I ride several times a week. If I did straight cross country, I would still use these gripes b/c they are that comfortable. Bike Setup:

Bottom Line:
I can't think of anything better than these. They install in seconds, they look fantastic, they are tacky without being sticky, and they even fit my smaller hands just fine. I'm really surprised people say that they only fit large hands. I don't see that at all. Further, to the guy who said that the end-caps would fall off, how? They're tightened down with the clamps. They will not fall off.
I could potentially see a problem if you don't tighten the clamps properly. They could slip on the trail and end up putting you in a dangerous situation. So if you are on the trail and feel any play, RETIGHTEN immediately. I have yet to have this problem though.
These are just great. I was so sick of having to use alcohol/hair spray to take my old grips on/off. This simplifies everything so much. I'll never go back to normal grips.
I'm giving them a perfect 5, because I just don't see how they can get any better. ODI has converted me, especially considering that these can be had for easily under $16 bucks online.

Strengths:
Decent diameter for bigger hands, tacky, moderately soft for comfort but not so soft that they will fall apart quickly, good sized channels to drain water if you ride in the wet.
Good positive grip for those with slightly larger hands looking for a good, solid (typical ODI) lock on grip. Ladies and those with smaller hands likely won't be happy with 'em.
The grips are soft enough to deaden vibration (i.e. if you have to put knobbies to asphalt)but have put up with my aggressive riding clyde mitts reefing on them.
The biggest plus (and why I went with them over Ruffians) is the big channels between the blocks of grip. I ride year round and rain, sleet and snow can fill the small depressions in grips like the Ruffians and stockers. The big channels make sure that you'll still have grip even when the weather sucks.
I've got custom bar plugs and aftermarket / colored lock rings so I can't comment on the plu and ring issues some have had (see below). The grips themselves are awesome.

Strengths:
Excellant grip and feel on the bars. Easy, really easy installation, no glue or stupid tricks to get them on. Won't slip like other non lock on grips. Did I mention they are easy to install?
Weaknesses:
Non so far I've used the Rouge's for a while but I like these better!
Similar Products Used:
ODI Lock-on Rouges, And a slew of other grips that are now tattered!
Bike Setup:
Kona Stinky 04 with, Raceface Diabous Stem and bar both 30.9, Azonic A-frame Pedals, Azonic Outlaw II Wheelset, Maxxis Minion 2.35 Freeride tires, E-13 Chainguide, Shimano XT shifters, Raceface Diablous Seatpost and WTB Power V Saddle!
Bottom Line:
I like these grips only slightly better than the Rouge's since they are thinner, I've got the new MX design with the half waffle grip on it and it does make a nice differnce in grip! The Rouge's are only slightly thicker but I feel that I lose bar control when I can't feel the bar when I ride especailly when thing get techy. When I head for the local ski area and try them out in the real rough stuff I'll see how they are ut for local screwing around and fun they are great. I amy use the Rouge's again at Diablo but I think these will be fin too. My Rouge's were replaced cause of the hole that was put in the grip in my last fantastic crash I was in! Hope thes things last longer but the grip and feel of the grip is much better than the Rouge's they were just a little too thick for my tastes. Looking for a thin grip that locks-On and will not slip they are great!

These grips are killer. A cool feature is the plastic end caps that prevent the aluminum ring on the bar end from getting all bunged up every time you lay your bike down on the trail. End caps also make your bar ends less lethal should you receive one in the chest in a crash. The sleeve rubber is very good at damping vibration, although it becomes slippery if you ride in the rain with no gloves (but what idiot would ever do that? heh heh). I am about up for a sleeve replacement at the 1 year mark.

Bike Setup:

Bottom Line:
I have the "Intense" version of the ODI locking grips so they're not exactly the same as the Rogue, but there isn't a separate section for these. They're constructed essentially the same as the Rogue's though so it's close enough :). Anyway, I got a helluva deal on these through PricePoint for $11 including the clamps so they're a great bargain no doubt. They haven't moved even the slightest bit since installing them so they're doing the job excellently. They're also totally comfy too even w/o gloves which some grips can't do. My only gripe with the "Intense" version is that they have a shield-like bit on the inside which I suppose is to help you keep a grip on DH stuff and this sorta gets in the way of trigger shifters. I've learned to adjust my handgrip a bit to compensate for this and also adjusted the grips themselves along with the shifters & brake levers to achieve an acceptable setup though. I may trim the shield part down a bit in the future if it gets to be too irritating, but for now it's tolerable. Overall the ODI locking grips are sooper-dooper.

Great grip for Freeride and Downhill! I wouldn't put these on my XC Trailbike cause they are a little too beefy for it. But they work AWESOME for my Stinky! Lock-On grips are the only way to go for a Downhill / Freeride bike, When I got my Stinky it had Kona grips on it but they moved around way too much for words so I went with Lock-On grips and problem solved! This is an idea that was a long time coming! Nothing sucks worse than flying down a technical trail and having your grips slip at the worst time! These grips have solved that problem! For XC they are a little thick I like to be able to "feel" the trail while I'm on my Stumpjumper. For my Stinky I like the tickness cause it absorbs some of the bone jarring hits that bike takes. Try em out if you are a Freerider / Downhiller if XC Trailriding is your thing than look to a slightly thinner grip like the WTB Dual Compound's PEACE!!

The lock on system is one of the smartest things since disc brakes. The grips stay right where you put them until its time to put on new ones, then it's as easy as turning a few screws and their off. Because they have a hard inner core they are a bit thicker to grip on to, which is one reason I got them, large hands don't work well with the recent versions of most grips being so small. Got a combo set for $17 at Price Point that included a pair of grips & end plugs, 4 pieces of lock's & bolts. Great price, since LBS sells just a pair of grips for $15 and a pair of locks for another $16 or so.
* The grip-to-bar is solid. It doesn't twist or slide or move, once all is locked up.
* The grip-to-gloves is superb, too. No slipping. The meaty feel of the grip is quite confidence-aspiring for a better control of the bike in sketchy descends. They're easy on my palms (still precise, yet not 'mushy' or 'harsh') even after a long hard ride.
* Installation is very easy. Per reviews here, I was careful not to over-tighten the bolts. TIP: Don't put them on & go on a ride right away just yet. When putting/replacing new grips, the lock-on "tabs" on the grips need to be compressed down slightly, before you get that solid lock on the bar. I was very careful not to strip the bolts, so I evenly tightened the bolts snugly a little by a little, then wait for the 'tab' to be pressed down a bit (hence the grips will still twist around upon your hard gripping, which made me skeptical for a sec), then tighten some more again, and repeat a few times. I actually left them tightened pretty tightly over-night, and finished re-tighten some more the next day, and they haven't moved at all ever since.
* End-plugs are nice, too. They provide nice flairs at the end of the grips (so not to slip off, not that you would with such sticky grips). NOTE: After a hard ride, I noticed at home that one of the plugs were coming loose. (Good thing I didn't lose it on the trail.) It's probably because I didn't tighten it down hard enough, or things compressed a bit and needed re-tightening especially when new? Also, unfortunately I might have over-tighten the other plug, because the screw went digging further into the plug before stopping, unlike the other one. Not a big deal, as it still works fine.
* About its weight... The whole set was 154g (minus 27g, if you didn't use the pair of end-plugs). My WTB dual-compound was 75g or so. So, one could mathematically say that it's a 100% gain in weight. But "a 100% gain" of 75g is really nothing to worry about. I sure can't tell any difference when lifting up my bike.
Unless this insignificant weight gain bothers you, this is the BEST pair of performance-oriented grips you can treat yourself for - no regrets. (Like a CK headset of grips, to quote an earlier reviewer below.) My only regret is that I didn't get them sooner! I'm very happy with them.

These grips are first rate. You put them on... careful not to over tighten, and that's it. You're set until you want to remove them, which you can do easily without destroying the grips. I have a couple of pair, one Ruffian and the Rogue. I've moved them from bike to bike, depending on the need. No sweat!
In my opinion, the added weight is not significant... not compared to the advantages.
The grips do not move... ever. Rain, sweat... whatever...they stay put. What more could you ask for?

Simple installation, won't move once you tighten them up. Fair price.
Weaknesses:
Anyone concerned with adding an extra 50g to their rig should not buy this product.

Bike Setup:

Bottom Line:
These grips won't slide around, period. Take your time, put them on right the first time, don't overtighten, and pretty much forget about them. I did drop in a bit of Locktite just for good measure on the screws.
I was just really getting tired of my grips sliding around. A little water or sweat is all it took to get them moving around. Having my grips sliding in my hand didn't give me a whole lot of confidence. Bottom bottom line: I want to pull up on my bars and get the feeling my grips are rock solid, not going anywhere, I can count on you guys, got my back sort of thing. Does that make sense? Go get'em.

Super easy removal and installation. Dummyproof product. Grip sticks like gum to gloves.
Weaknesses:
Weak tabs. Thats it.
Similar Products Used:
Serfas, Kona grips, styrofoam crap
Bike Setup:

Bottom Line:
These are the last grips I will ever buy. I can only find one weakness so far. The tabs that the aluminum locks bite are brittle. I attempted to take the clamp off after I snapped it on but did it with a flathead screw driver. My fault probably. Just be careful removing them once they are on. But why would you need to? The grips seem to not have much tread to grip but with some gloves they are sticky. 5 foot drops at speed don’t budge them. I know 5 foot isn’t too hardcore but I had Serfas grips before and they slid all over the place.
Bottom Line: Probably the most expensive grips you can buy, but $20 is better than paying $50 for 5 crappy grips. They stick very well, even in wet conditions. Come in various colors and I never need to worry about them slipping. Weight? Unless you are a racer and gram conscious these are still pretty light. Well worth their toughness and immobility. This is the Chris King Headset of Grips. Go get some and you won’t be sorry.

Easy on. Easy off. Large diameter grip. Secure. Survived crashes that would shred other grips.

Similar Products Used:

Bottom Line:
I bought the grips because I was tired of shredding other grips with every crash. I didn't realize the added benifit of the large diameter. I get a better grip, that dosen't twist. This allows me to get my back end up higher as I twist on the grips while I am in the air. The baseball bat like grip causes less numbness in my fingers.

I once read a comment by Zapata Espinosa deriding the notion of bolt-on grips. Ignorant pr*ck! These grips are without a trace of doubt the best available grips and attaching systems to be found. They are supremely comfortable and remain tacky regardless of weather conditions. To be able to remove and replace grips on any type of handlebar without the customary hassle is simply brilliant. You have to wonder why it took so long for them to appear!

A very nice set of grips. I replaced the Schwinn grips that came on the bike because they were too thin and slipped a lot. These do not slip and have made a drastic improvement in comfort on enven the longest rides. When they wear out, they are easily replaced, but last a long time anyways. Also, they just look plain cool clamped to the bars. 5 Chilis for Overall, 4 for value because of the high cost to begin with.

Easily the best grip I've found when it comes to thickness and feel. I don't have large hands, but i like to ride with part of my hand on the SRAM shortie shifter. Other grips which are not as thick have too much of a transition to the shifter, the Rogue makes for an almost flush transition.
I couldn't find grip-shift sizes so I cut 1/4 off a regular length grip and use only 1 locking collar on the end. Even with just 1 locking colar, that grip won't slip.

Bottom Line:
These are the best grips I've ever ridden, the rogue specifically. It fills your hand like you're on a motocross bike, and it's so plush/like free suspension. Plus they look the balls on your bike. I don't imagine they work well with gripshift, but I don't use them so its a non-issue. They will never let go on you, and you won't tear the end of your grips off anymore, plus you can get at your levers without ruining them (a huge plus!) What are you reading this for, you should be buying them!

Strengths:
Comfortable grip, sized right for my large hands Sufficiently tacky compound Grip shift and regular lengths
Weaknesses:
Rubber compound already showing light wear
Similar Products Used:
ODI Yeti Logo, Real Yeti Hardcores (still a favorite)
Bike Setup:
I have the Rouge grips on two bikes now, both with one twist shifter only (one bike with Speedhub, one with 9-speed Grip Shift/single front ring). I use a full-length Rouge for the left-side grip, and a short-length for the right-side grip. Works well.
Bottom Line:
Tried the ODI Yeti first, to duplicate the real Yeti Hardcores I'd been so happy with before that. Not the same. The ODI Yeti's have a smaller oval palm pad, and use an interesting rubber compound that is harder yet faster wearing than the original Hardcores — very, very fast wearing. The small raised lettering molded into the grip actually feels "sharp", like pointy ridges poking through the golve. Not at all as comfortable as I'd hoped.
The Rouge grips are great. Not quite as tacky as the ODI Yetis, but by no means a "slippery" grip. The larger diameter fits my large hands well. Nice transition to the grip portion of my Sram Attacks — the diameter of the Rouge is just a hair larger than the diameter of the ODI Lock Jaw clamps. I am noticing some light signs of wear already, but I do normally use a glove with an abrasive Kevlar palm, so that's probably responsible.
Overall a great system and a great grip.
* 4 chilis for value because of the buy-in cost for the system (not at all unreasonable @ $12-13 each for grips and clamps), and the grip prices are only slightly "overpriced" in the bicycle industry sense of the word.
* 4 chilis overall because ODI hasn't got the rubber compound just right — yet...
