Strengths:    Very comfortable... once I hacked one inch off the inner part of the grip because it didn't come remotely close to being able to fit my Giant Hybrid.

Weaknesses:    the clamping part appears to be cast from some sort of cheap alloy. Looks cheap and nasty when compared to Halfrauds bar ends.

Bottom Line:
I expected very good things of these but in reality they are quite cheaply made.

Strengths:    Broader base for palm. Multiple positions for bar ends. Easily adjustable. GREATLY alleviated numbness in fingers.

Weaknesses:    Takes a bit to get it tightened securely. Might be somewhat Phred looking. (ducks)

Bottom Line:
Did what I bought them for: GREATLY alleviated palm and finger numbness. I didn't expect the tingles to go completely away because I've always had 'em in spite of bike adjustmets. Would recommend to anyone who wants more "hand comfort" when riding.

Strengths:    Look good. Initially very comfortable. Bought to alleviate numb pinky fingers (worked, but see below).

Weaknesses:    After one to two hour ride (road or single-track)- wrist pain, index fingers numb. Tried multiple different setups / angles on Ergon grips

Bottom Line:
Would not buy again. Probably will go back to a standard setup.

Strengths:    - High Quality product
- Comfortable on trails even on a Rigid Fork
- Multiple hand positions give even more styles of riding
- Bar-ends are semi-aerodynamic.

Weaknesses:    - when I had a shorter handlebar, the bar ends tend to fall and the grips slid forward.
- heavyweight grips, would be nice if they made it lighter
- expensive

Bottom Line:
I originally had them installed on a shorter Truvativ XC-Riser handlebar but found the Ergons sliding often and the bar-end locks keep on falling.

The problem lied on the lock-ons not gripping the handlebar. So I had to replace my 2nd hand handlebar to Turbolites (comparable to Thomson Elite but cheaper) and the Ergons locked tight.

Performance wise you get what you pay for. They may be expensive but they provide total grip and comfort on any ride compared to lock-on grips that only provide gripping advantage. Ergon GC3's can even by used on Rigid Forks and still provide cushion to every bump.

Strengths:    Very comfortable, and supportive can ride for much longer. Very cool looking and relatively light. Great concept, integrated grip and bar end.

Weaknesses:    Just put them on my bike. Went for one ride around the block and had one of the grips slip and fail. Was not able to get it to stay securely on the bars, it would just rotate no matter how securely i tightened it. I don't know if it is a faulty design or mfg. flaw. I have another ergon type with steel short bar ends and have had no problem at all with them. I hope they can work the bugs out because I certainly want to give them another choice.

Bottom Line:
Hopefully this was just a faulty grip because the design/comfort is outstanding.
