Strengths:
They clamp on very securely and are super solid feeling despite there light weight.
Weaknesses:
Like all metal bar ends, you may need to grip tape them. Not really a weakness though.

Bottom Line:
Really good short little bar ends. More than enough for most people.

Strengths:
Just the right size Durable finish

Bike Setup:
XC race - 135 0 deg. stem, 580mm 3 deg. bar
Bottom Line:
Great bar ends for racing - just the right size for climbing, fits your entire hand with no excess. Finish is very durable - after three seasons, still have about 80% of original. For trail riding, I like a bar end with a little curve to it, to deflect branches, fenceposts, etc. For racing, though, these Micros are perfect.

Strengths:
Size, looks, weight
Weaknesses:
Plugs (see below)

Bike Setup:
'99 Cannondale Super-V, mounted on RaceFace AirAlloy black bar
Bottom Line:
After riding for a few years, I'm convinced that the size of a rider's barends is inversely proprtional to his skill level and experience. Those of us who ride know when to stop. Nothing looks more ridiculous that a nice bike with a set of bar ends that like the steer horns on Boss Hawg's Cadillac!
I like these because I use the bar and the bar end for hand placement on climbs, therfore, I don't need much length. And, it's much harder to hook these on a sapling tree.
My only complaint is that the plastic plugs both had a sharp piece of excess material on them. It was really annoying at first. But with a sharp knife, you can take care of it without much trouble.

Strengths:
Looks great Light weight Durable Inexpensive Comfortable Recessed mounting bolt Just the right length
Weaknesses:
One of the mounting bolts felt slightly unfinished and uncomfortable in the hand initially, but after some use has worn down and is no longer a problem.

Ski bend bar ends
Bike Setup:
Hardtail w/ 23" flat bar and 5 deg rise stem
Bottom Line:
These bar ends look and function great when set up right. They are just the right length. I have always preferred the look of a well set-up set of bar ends on a hardtail. They make the bike look racy.

Strengths:
Good for people with small hands, light, cheap, feel right in your hands, durable
Weaknesses:
Wouldn't work for people with huge hands.
Similar Products Used:

Bike Setup:
Schwinn Mesa GS, Kore and Titec parts, Marzocchi Z.4, Michelin Tires
Bottom Line:
They are a great set of barends. I have crashed A LOT with these barends and I race in the Georgia State Series with them. I sprint finish almost every race and they help a lot. They work best when set and an about 20 degree angle to the ground, not stickin up. Very good barends that don't get hooked up on trees on narrow trails.
I hate those huge OEM barends and these were just right for my hands; I am 16 and race Junior II Mens' Category
