Strengths: Light
Perfect shape, size and bend
lightweight
Perfect matte finish
ez install (bolt trq. is printed on side of bar end)Weaknesses: color scheme and size of graphics (large gold/red splash)Bottom Line: I got these on sale for 35 bucks, but I'd consider these things "great" even at a much higher pricepoint. These feel amazing in your hands. Perfect for torquing up hills in a hurry. The shape/angle is ideal, and allows for multiple positions, which was very surprising for such a stubby lil bar end.
I have not crashed them or allowed the bike to fall over, so I can't comment on "crash-worthiness".

Strengths: Shiny crabon.Weaknesses: Exactly--weak. If you ever wreck you will break these.Bottom Line: Very fragile. Too expensive. Not useful on a mountain bike. Maybe okay for the MUT but might hook a bike salmon and break off there too. Shame on you Specialized.

Strengths: looks good, great shape, comfortableWeaknesses: slippery when wet, VERY fragile - bike fell over when cleaning it and one snapped at joint of bar and clamp, quite heavy. Very expensive.Bottom Line: Look good, feel good, snap. Triumph of form over function.

Strengths: Looks awesomeWeaknesses: With sweaty hands they are slipperyBottom Line: Very good looking, lightweight and ergonmically formed bar end. They give a good grip. However when your hands get sweaty the grip is less because of the nice smooth surface.
