Weaknesses:    none found

Bottom Line:
I have had lots of trouble finding shoes that were comfortable for a long day in the saddle. The biggest problem with getting shoes is find a pair that fit properly. There were no bike dealers in my area that had a large and complete selection of shoes. I had mail orderered several pairs over the years and found it difficult to get a good fit. I was in Dallas Fort Worth on business and went to Richardson Bike Mart. They had a hude selction and in all sizes. I was able to select from many brands with an excellent assortment of sizes. After trying on several different brands I ended up choosing The Speicailized Pro Road. First off the shoe is very attractive. I bought the white sho. e it is it has a nice clean look and a patent leather like look to it. It has a large toe box, no toe pinching. This is a very comprtable shoe with a molded insole specific to each particular size. The shoe also has a very wide top strap with a ratchet closure system. It works very well. the wide strap helps the shoe fit firmly without binding or pinching anywhere. You get a nice solid feelng fit. No sliding around. The soles are carbon and are very stiff. The shoe does not flex at all. When clipped in, the shoe feels lile an extension of the pedal. I ride Look Keo Classics. They worked great with the shoe. The soles have a nice grid of alignment marks which helps with the setup. I have about 500 miles on these now. They still look brand new. white shoes tend to scuff easily but these seem pretty reistants to scuffing. I wipe them down after ever ride and they stay fresh looking. The heels have a nice build up that levels the feet out a bit when walking around at the rest stop. Like all cycling shoes with cleats, they are a llittle awkward. But, no as clunky or slippery as other shoes I have owned. They are replaceable but so far they have not worn down any. I am very pleased with the shoes. They have allowed me to ignore my feet while riding and concentrate on the ride. Just what I was looking far. This is the most expensive shoe of any kind that I have ever purchased. They are well worth the price.
