Bottom Line: Just the bottom line...you do not need to bleed the brakes after shortening the hoses..Magura offers bleeding free process while shortening..and all the things you need to have are in the box.....olives..trees..all the stuff that you need..
And..after all, all the frames and forks, stems, handlebars are different..so..this IS THE reason why the hoses are long...you CAN use the brake on left or right side...moto style or bike style reffering to your preferences....
I wouldn't be writing this if I wouldn't know the procedure and people behind the process.
so...Maguras are REALLY best buy for your money!¨

Strengths: price so far and rep for german qualityWeaknesses: only that these are new in box and not takeoffs so both hoses are way to long of my large frame hard tail so I will have to trim them down and of course bleed the brakes. the system comes assembled and sealed with out a bleed kit so I have to waste more time and cash to order the bleed kit.Bottom Line: none yet besides , if magura knows the system is sold with way to long for even a large frame then why not advise the buyer and retailer that the bleed kit will be needed? I will come back and update the review as I begin to actually use the brakes . note these brakes come with metal levers not plastic.
