Submitted by DRUMMY a Cross Country Rider from scotland
Date Reviewed: August 18, 2009
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Strengths:Very well manufactured. Engineered to high standard.
Weaknesses:Cannot be set up easily. Will not work will Shimano xt 760 shifters (Hope have designed only for 770 but do not tell you that). The reservoir is very bulky - which is the route of the problem when trying to fit certain shifters. Poor ergononic design.
Similar Products Used:Avid elixir 5 - excellent design.
Bottom Line:Had to have the hopes replaced by avid's due to the hand strains experienced when riding for a few hours and try to shift gears. The bulky brake design make it impossible to get a comfortable set up for the xt 760 shifters. Avoid the hope x2 at all costs.
