The Shimano SLX RT-64 Disc Brake Centerlock Rotor is designed to increase pad life. The Shimano SLX RT-64 Disc Brake Centerlock Rotor is available in 160mm, 180mm, and 203mm rotors and is made specifically for Shimano CenterLock disc systems.

Strengths:    Big holes in disk

Weaknesses:    Not perfectly aimed. Maybe tightening the disk to the wheel bent it slightly

Bottom Line:   
Shimano Alfine s500 brake adapter.

Carbon keramics brake pad compound from asiqs.nl .

160 mm sm-rt 64

Every brake pad loses its brake power after a while when it is not maintained properly.

One wants the brakesystem to be self maintaining. One does not want to have to clean the brakepads every time to maintain the brakepower.

Those holes in the blade enable the brake system to be more self maintaing then the Deore disc.

More bigger holes would destroy the brake pads in a few descents. To few smaller holes means you can soon enjoy an orchestra of terrible loud noises coming from your brake system in all weather.

I wonder how the XTR Disc will behave. It has more holes.
