$10.00 | | Purchased At: | Came With Bike | | Strengths: | The Price and that is pretty Much it | | Weaknesses: | Everythig But Price | | Similar Products Used: | All Of Shimano's Brake Systems | | Bottom Line: | First There is the brake pad used wich are EXTREMELY hard to ajust, tha there is the internal sprig wich loosens i 2-3 months. What actually made me change them was that one of the rear brakes actually Broke in two and i nearly killed myself. from Broxburn, Scotland, U.K Date Reviewed: August 7, 2000 | | Duration Product Used: | Less than 1 month | | Strengths: | Stopping power, The don't seem affected much by rain light | | Weaknesses: | buildup of black stuff on rims, they scream when they get hot | | Similar Products Used: | Various "V" brakes on hire bikes
| | Bike Setup: | Claud Butler Ravana 21speed, 7005 Alu (Shimano "V" brake levers) | | Bottom Line: | I ride about 130 - 150 miles a week, and doing that sort of mileage, you soon find what works well and what doesn't.
Vuelta "V" Brakes are simply the best I've ridden with. These are ideal for anyone other than loony "freeriders"
Heck they even work well in traffic on the road. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
