I got my Suntour XC Pro brakes from Rivendell a couple of years ago. I used them on my Rivendell cyclocross bike for a year and am now putting them on a touring bike. The brakes are easy to set up and look like very high quality parts. I've never had anything slip or need adjusting. Quite surprised to find these brakes here. Had them the last two years on
my #2 bike. Very light and nicely finished. With the included cable hanger
I can get them with so much leverage I can flex the rim like Vs. Easy to
adjust due to ability to zero out spring tension. A well made quality product

The easiest brakes to set up. The shoe post plastic holder thingy holds the shoes where you want it while you tighten it. Got mine through Rivendell with matching Suntour levers. What a great set. Will last forever and the way you can set the arms, you can even use , ( gasp )....... fenders! | | Overall Rating: |

Although cantilevers may be an outdated design, I think this is a good brake, its light and easy to set up. The best thing with cantis is that you can adjust the feel of the brakes by raising or lowering the cable hanger. Theese brakes come with a classic J type hanger that works as good as anything. The included brakepads works fine with for example Mavic 231:s, but not so good with Araya rm395. The craftmanship and material is excellent.

Easy to set up - the spring tension is super cool, and top quality.

Just bought these brakes on clearance to replace my Shimano Acera's which were a pain to set
up. These brakes have worked really well so far, probably because of the ease of set up (in
comparison to other traditional cantilevers, esp. shimano). Spring tension is easily set to zero,
making pad adjustment simple if you know what you're doing. When set up with high leverage,
stopping performance is on par with the best cantilevers. For the price ($10/pair), you can't beat
